Where do /biz/ store their cryptos? Do you trust the major wallets apps in the app store?

I'm not talking to the whales that kave 1M and loosing it would induce suicide but normal investors still trying to make it, dont come with some esoteric paper aluminium wallet shit

Im using coinbase but someone taught me how to use uniswap and metamask which you can use to buy newer cryptos with moon potential. Its a good starter but the fees are driving me up the fucking wall.

never store your coins on an exchange, it's fucking retarded and one of the oldest rules of crypto
store them on a desktop wallet or get a hardware one, back up the keys yourself; if you don't have the keys, you don't own the coins

I’m pretty Comfy with the Coinbase wallet and for your noobs that don’t know; that is not the same as the Coinbase account. You have your own keys etc. For now that will do. It also works with Unicuck to buy those rare shitcoin gems.

most people either use coinbase/metamask, metamask is better for uniswap because its built right into the browser, you can also use coinbaseses integrated browser and just click "authorize/complete" when you want to complete a txn. 2 prob largest and best known wallets so they shouldnt hav any internal security failures

perfect, then; don't listen to brainlet newfags that say leaving coins on an exchange is safe, there have been some insane bugs and hacks in crypto in the past and people have lost what would now be a fucking stupid amount of money because of it

what's considerably worrying is that it has been a while since a major exchange was hacked, so i'd say we're due for one soon, whether it's a shitcoin exchange or big one

I keep all my shit on coinbase pro

Unique password, more than 26 characters, random words and gibberish I have memorized. Whitelisting turned on with only my paper wallet and a coinbase vault , 2FA through a third party system so I can't get SIM swapped.

The only possible way for me to lose my coins is through social engineering in which case I still have 48 hours to respond, or third party interference while I'm moving money but I just boot a laptop I have freshly wiped on standby in safe mode with networking if I need to transfer any large amount, which I also first send a test transaction worth around $2000 and let it sit for a while (enough for hackers to potentially take the bait)

It's not really as much effort as it seems but it's the easiest way to deal with it for lazy fucks like me. I don't trust hardware wallets especially after the ledger hack. MEWconnect essentially turns your phone into a hardware wallet anyway and all you have to do is not download tranny porn or strange apps.
