Gold is already around it's all time high. Silver has a long way to go to reach $50. With the money printers going brrr the way they do at the moment there's no reason to think both metals won't reach ATH and beyond. Also since silver is used up in industry there's less of it in bullion form.

The vast majority (>80%) of silver mined is consumed for industrial use, while for gold that number is closer to 20%. In a situation where metals are re-monetized, silver investment demand competes more heavily with silver industrial use than gold investment demand competes with gold industrial use. This means the potential upside on silver is much higher, if that scenario were to play out.

BHLL is being shilled a lot but I am suspect because they diluted so much, its not going to moon as high as its being shilled to.

Ergo since hairdresses and bartenders recommend buying TSLA, and since they all plan to sell after the split, its going to tank right after the split, likely over shoot the bottom, so its an easy buy at over shooting the bottom, and sell after a modest recovery.

Hey, you did alright at 30/oz. I just picked up a 2oz generic (pic related for design) for $60 from my LCS this morning. He'd even upped his government coins to 32/oz (previously was only $1 over generics). I may have to fall back to one ounce a week instead of two or more.

Getting less currency in as my job is slashing hours, so that'll affect my future paychecks, and I still have to pretend fiat still has value enough to live on. And with Stimulus 2: Electric Boogaloo not releasing anytime soon, less 'disposable income' means less converted into money.

Maloney is fucking weird. He has been the most outspoken permabull for so many years and now finally when the pms are really starting to pick up some steam and the line is moving up (as he "predicted" many many years ago) he acts worried and looks at memelines and uses them to analyze the price action. He even went as far as stating that the metals were overbought. Obviously only in the short term but still. Personally I would not be using terms like "overbought" if I was simultaneously predicting that pms will soar like never before as he has stated and that 5k gold is dirt cheap. He is really fucking losing it right now as the line is moving up...its just weird to listen to him.

Maloney sympathizes with the TA crowd, that's the problem. Even Hemke makes that mistake to a small extent, because of his friend David Brady, although when he sticks to the fundamentals, as in the Greg Hunter video, he is truly brilliant. Brent Johnson, David Brady, Gary Savage, Heinrik Zeberg--ignore all the TA frauds. The people who cried for a pullback since 1670 gold and 17 silver, then smugly boasted when we dropped to 1860 gold and 24 silver (Brady). The people who held JNUG to the bottom in 2016 (Savage), or shorted gold in 2018. (Brady.) The people who said that the dollar was king, and the Fed would raise rates (Johnson). Only listen to Alasdair Macleod, Andrew Maguire, Peter Schiff, Michael Oliver, Peter Spina, James Turk, and other people who understand the fundamentals, especially concerning the COMEX, impending banking crisis, and the history of fiat currencies and gold as money. They have got this right every step of the way.

Good point! Though I think this would ha years to even begin (from launch to actual mining), and I dont think its like the entire asteriod/ore target would be mined at once and arrive on earth, more likely to be payloads of processed ore arriving on a schedule or something.

Remember that even normal mines may take 5-20 years from first exploration to first production, and then operate for deacdes.

I think asteroid mining would be fantastic but there's a lot of hurdles to jump first.

Asteroid mining is only unachievable because of the cost to send materials to space and unknown operation cost. once the cost and known initial loss becomes negligible then you'll see the infancy of space mining. The way I imagine it is
>Small Scale refineries in orbit or lunar refineries
>Unmanned Vehicles for mining
>They probably use mass satellite network to detect, and coordinate mining operations
>Use autonomous rockets to intercept and attempt to divert or correct direction to be closer to operation or orbit operation location
>Send refined material back to earth in reusable rocket or reusable orbital drop system

There's possibly somewhere around 3billlion oz of gold bullion and 4billion oz of silver bullion in the world. The only estimates I could find easily are out of date by several years so I am fudging things upward. The world fiat currency supply is valued somewhere around $200 trillion USD. If silver is valued 15:1 to gold, we're looking at a (near enough) equivalent of 3.25billion oz of gold bullion. If gold + silver became the worlds bimetallic currency standard, we're talking about an immediate fiat:gold conversion of 200trillion:3.25billion = $61,500:1oz of gold, or $4,100:1oz of silver.

If gold/silver did become the world currency again, the amount of bullion in the world would certainly increase rapidly from where it is right now - up to a point - because currently only a relatively small portion of refined gold/silver ends up as bullion. This means we would most likely see significant gold and silver "inflation" happen over 5-10 years as bullion production increases at the cost of things like jewelery etc.

Most people in the world currently have zero gold or silver bullion although they might have the odd trinket, ring or necklace.

mining asteroids profitably won't happen this century, and probably not next century either, since it will still be cheaper to mine them here on earth. mining the moon is far more plausible than asteroids, although even then, i think the only reason we'd do it is to get a resource that doesn't exist on earth (helium 3) or to support operations on the moon, like mining for ice so people have water.

There isn't enough gold and silver to go around for everyone. I know people that are multi-millionaires and they don't have any gold other than their wedding bands. They don't even know silver has a value. Personally I wouldn't melt any jeweler and I think most jewelry should be kept as such because it's not going to be hard to replace once you sell it as scrap – though it's in the realm of possibility given how fucking retarded so many people are. In my small city there is a private dealer that has bought a few million euros in the last few years in scrap gold – from my educated guess he's sucked up about 15,000oz of gold. Last year it was starting to get hard for him to get scrap. It all gets melted down by his own little shop and sent to Switzerland. Who the final customers are I don't know. Even with that one guy sucking up all that gold it's still not much compared to the population.
