Hello /biz/
On Friday I was WFH and someone knocked on my door. I went to answer and it was a young (maybe non-binary, they didn't give me pronouns) PoC holding an envelope. They gave me the envelope somewhat angrily and muttered something I thought was maybe "will see you on Clorox court" angrily as they walked away. I didnt know what this could mean so I went inside to read what they handed me.
According to the letter I am being summoned to "Kleros Court" for watching 30 seconds of a "Jordan Peterson seminar" in 2016 on my personal Youtube account. Now I'm not even sure who this guy and I dont remember watching this video. But this is where the situation becomes more troubling.
The letter says the verdict is already essentially decided, since the evidence of my watching the video is recorded electronically by Google and is considered irrefutable evidence. Even more concerning it says that I will be found guilty regardless of evidence, since i am accused of participating in a morally dubious activity, and Kleros jurors have a right to decide outcomes irrespective of evidence based on social justice.
I have called every attorney in town and nobody has heard of this Kleros court. They say they can't help me and they don't think it is real. I have been advised by all attorneys to ignore the letter. But the letter is very threatening and it says I will have my internet cut off and bank accounts frozen if found guilty. They already know where I live so that is concerning alone.
There are no details of even where I have to go for this Kleros court case, no location, no date, is it all done online? Please advise?
