The thing is, the recent surge in link price is due to low liquidity (remember coin base literally ran out of link Las week). Once staking comes the market will be flooded by tokens creating enough liquidity to dump the price, or at least slow down the increase considerably

the tokens required to expand the network will vastly outnumber the tokens sold off from staking rewards, hence why the value will be "fundamentally vertical" while in price discovery

if you disagree with this or misunderstand it, you're going to have to go back and reread the whitepaper.

>> No.21495997

he's right though. reward will be a tiny fraction of staked link, and you could probably assume that many institutions will just reinvest the rewards not sell them.
liquidity is an interesting question though. how does it work with shares such as Amazon and apple? they're worth shit loads but there must be liquidity to trade?

Never. Fucking. Selling.
Staking rewards paid in link? All the better, but I'm not selling that either.
I work 3 jobs to accoomulate as much link as possible. I do this not with the intention of making money off of link, but rather for the sake of owning link itself. I will continue to put every last penny, besides that which is absolutely necessary to sustain myself, into chainlink and will NEVER sell. To me, owning link is the ultimate goal, and I am going to gorge myself on this glorious token until the sweet end. Maybe you don't understand this, but I wouldn't expect a filthy, money-hungry kike degenerate to understand love for anything besides shekels, so for now just get it through your head that I am NOT FUCKING SELLING.

OK, I'll help you guys out since you cannot seem to be able to handle a tiny little bit of fud. You guys wouldn't have survived in 2017. The staking mechanism in LINK as you probably know isn't pos, but could be assimilated to PoW, as you have to provide a work by fetching correct data. This means that inflation can be adjusted by adjusting difficulty. Now, it can't work like for bitcoin for instance where the difficulty is automatically regulated. So my guess is that there will be a regulation of the staking rewards, where to put it simply, rewards will decrease when inflation increases and vice versa. This regulation means that link price volatility will hugely decrease, and that rewards might decrease over time, especially the mainstream easy ones

Presumptuous! I survived the fud by simply never even bothering to try and understand how LINK works. Thought the discussion is lively, the lads talking in favour seemed smarter and very excited, the chainlink logo looked like a cool cube. Went all in around 50c in 2018 without even opening the whitepaper.
