Monero (XMR) and Tari Labs are preparing to publish a guide that should help exchanges list XMR while complying with regulations.

The whitepaper aims to explain how the greater risks of privacy coins can be mitigated with enhanced tools.

The whitepaper is called “The Fundamentals and Regulation of Privacy-Enabling Cryptocurrencies” and will be published by law firm Perkins Coie.

According to fluffypony (Monero's ex lead maintainer), you will still be able to get privacy but after you withdraw from the exchange(forward-secrecy).

desu, I gave up on Monero like a year ago because of the exchanges delisting but grabbed a bag after reading this. Hopefully, the exchanges will relist it and treat like ZCash when the guide is released.
