i think they are doing a transition from semi private beta to a more public facing phase but still within the confines of the discord, then there will be somewhat controlled use and intensive bug squashing and monitoring before the true public release outside of the discord on the public interwebs. basically taking their sweet time releasing a potentially very robust piece of software as they probably should
