You guys getting upset about this just don’t understand that these people are holding 1-5% of the average /Biz/ stack.

Just relax and let them do the legwork for you. Yes it’s crypto moonboy nonsense, it doesn’t change anything about the fundamentals of the project and their microstacks aren’t going to cause the price to wildly pump and then plummet.

LINK isn’t a cryptoCURRENCY. It’s a cryptoUTILITY with actual real world usecase.

We’re entering a new phase of the space, labeling BCH/BSV as shitcoins is wholly appropriate and if you want to get right down to it, that applies to Bitcoin, and ETH if they can’t release 2.0 and get it working smoothly soon.

>> No.21436186

ICO was easier to get for normies whit all that scams promising shit. DeFi is harder to get for normies and they burned their hands with ICOs 2017

Also what role does BTC play in DeFi? ETH in its current state has shown it is basically incapable of being the default transfer layer, it got crippled by fucking YAMS.

I spent over $1,000 in gas fees in the last week alone. It’s grandfathered with first mover FOR NOW but that good will will only carry for so long.

I agree normies were able to grasp the ICO concept easier than DeFi, a big chunk of the crypto space still doesn’t have a handle on it. ICO basically translated to shares of a company in their mind.

However as DeFi and DLT gain traction and they see recognizable normies brands and companies utilizing them, you may see an even greater influx of the average person than during ICO.

I wholeheartedly agree, we are still moving from leaving early adopter phase into smart money phase. That is hard for some people to believe with LINK at #5, but it’s true with understanding valuation of LINK (and some other new projects) under the banner of a “cryptocurrency” market cap is no longer accurate.

My best top of my head example would be something akin to trying to rank Nestle on a valuation chart of chocolate companies.
