HOW THE FUCK DO I TRADE CRYPTO IN CANADA

>> No.21420907

>>21420811
Buy coins on Shakepay with Interac etransfer. That's that. But remember: every single trade is taxable, so keep track of it all somehow from the start of it'll be a huge pain in the ass later. The CRA won't know you're trading crypto....until you try cashing out, so stay compliant.

>> No.21420926

>>21420811
Very easily.....??

>> No.21420939

>>21420811
Oh and if you do anything other than buy once and hold it'll count as income instead of capital gains so you'll pay tax on the full amount. Even if you buy and hold, the CRA might view it as "adventure in the nature of trade" and therefore fully taxable instead of the capital gains usual 50%.

fiat exchanges:
https://web.newton.co/r/A7FLVF
https://shakepay.me/r/YKQEJNP

rest are trash. once you change your nuck bucks in you can go on other exchanges like binance or bitmex

>> No.21421009

Kracken you can do bank wire transfers. Limit 100k

Coinberry you can do e-transfers limit 4k (daily)

Coinbase has a 1k weekly limit to buy with.

This is how you fund. I usually buy Eth or btc and use that to trade for alts in binance and the other exchanges.

You think they would do analysis on my wallet from shakepay? I made a $40 profit swinging linkies, otherwise I haven't traded anything. You think they'd come after someone over pennies? I'm focusing on just buying dips and accumulating different tokens for now, and I dont plan on cashing out for years if at all

>> No.21421079

In Canada, what in your opinion is the max/month to cash out without declaring it and without too much risks? 1000$?

This is where to start. As long as you've kept a record of everything it's all good. If you have a large volume of trades there are various sites that can help with that (they read your wallets and exchanges via API and figure out each transaction's taxes), like Koinly.io. What you don't want to do is lie on your taxes, if you said you made no gains in a given year because you never cashed out, but then cash out in a future year...well, you'll have to make corrections to the earlier years' taxes, and that can carry with it fines and interest if it's any sizable amount owed.

Shakepay is the way to go in Canada. Even went there in person in Montreal, it's one of the few jew-free place, in a jew city. Kind of based.

i've used shakepay once fees are a ripoff
newton is a dealer but their rates are better and you don't have to worry about slippage; check it out it's the exact same rates as crypto.com so I think it's very competitive.
i've used quadriga, coinsquare, and coinsmart in the past.

move out of urban and sub-urban areas
luckily the population in canada is small, so we have good odds of moving into the countryside and waiting for this all to burn
grocery stores will be closed
bread lines will be a normalcy
women will be selling themselves to feed their children
gangs will be roaming around looking to loot and steal whatever they can get their hands on
I have government agencies and institutions as clients and even they are 6+ months late to pay out our invoices
we are witnessing the collapse of yugoslavia now on a worldwide scale
there will be rolling blackouts and internet outages
there will be rations and welfare dolled out
shipping lanes will be cut off
Canada is too small of a population to justify the level of bureaucracy we live under
currently I have 4 levels of government sitting on my neck:

-municipal
-regional
-provincial
-federal

all four levels are failing and collapsing before our eyes
this was long overdue
you wouldn't believe the amount of grifting and outright fraud and lack of productivity in these bureaucracy's

I don’t mind paying some taxes, but Canada actually steals from their citizens through ridiculous taxes so they can give it away to their friends and family while never improving the country. No problem! Trading a coin is a taxable event (e.g buying ETH with your BTC, or buying LINK with your ETH). I do strongly recommend using a site like Koinly to keep track of that, since you have to know the equivalent in CAD value of each asset when they were traded and whether that constitutes a profit or loss based on that one trade, and that sort of historical information can be a real pain to keep track of so it's nice for all of it to be automated. The CRA won't ask for details, they'll just want your net profit/loss or whatever, but it's still good to have a full record if you were ever god forbid audited (very unlikely! but it can happen).

This scares me so fucking much that I unironically feel like I will either never cash out or need to move out. I started in 2017 and had no idea what I was doing, traded a bunch of shitcoins all over the place, never kept track of anything because I never even invested in something before, I was also losing a shit ton of money so taxes were not at all a concern (plus I don't even know if there was a clear law back then about crypto to crypto tax). Point is, I have tried retrieving all my transactions record and it's literally impossible, a lot of data is completely missing from the face of the earth. At this point I don't know what to do, I've just been keeping at it while avoiding to worry about taxes because every time I think about how fucked my situation is I want to off myself
