The point is that AWS is centralized and not secure. To steal a file for example, you would have to hack into only 1 server, as backups are being stored fully on servers, whereas with 0chain you would have to hack all servers in order to get all pieces of the file to get the puzzle done. Additionally, 0chain solves the regulatory issue (GDPR and CCPA compliance) - a data breach is fined up to 25mil per case, damages the brand, etc. Data handling is a large niche.
