not exactly

yam had reputable devs (that other devs vouched for on twitter)
it was a standard yield farming deal but they also introduced a rebase into the mix
think YFI + AMPL

This. Loopring for example is a great project that's ready to blow up. Nobody cares about that though that's smart money. This board is dumb money central. But you should always have exposure to dumb money cause that shit outperforms smart money short term.

There are thousands of tokens that will "used to use their services". Retard alert. These pitches are all getting so lame.

Ok so the tokens are kinda worthless then, good to know.

If the token isn't a part of the service (as in, you can't use it without), its a scam. Why would anyone buy the tokens, the price would never go up as at some point it would just be cheaper to pay in fiat.

Can anyone list the defi exit scams and how they work? The ones I see are basically like this

>you lock up your high liquidity assets (DAI, ETH, etc) in a liquidity pool, like 98% DAI - 2% scamtoken
>when you lock up you're basically granted SCAMTOKEN, as is everyone else in the pool
>scamtoken has a high valuation because of a pump/biz/ shilling it
>liquidity that you staked is there... it's just a matter of who dumps first
so the difference between old scams and these new ones is the liquidity, there's always someone to sell into at the beginning

The best scams never change. Have you ever watched a few gypsies playing 3 card monty. Don't be a retard and fall for obvious scams in a Mongolian basket weaving forum.
