Speculation. XRP is the one being implemented by the banks and governments right now. they got FXRP in development which has a builtin decentralized oracle network that doesn't have a token. Why? because oracles don't need tokens.

Two reasons. 1st It's a better token than ETH. 2nd it has broken out and is in the stage where institutions are starting to trade it to make some money. The next phase is the retail customer wanting in on the action to spike the token to ETH levels. Then the early birds will make big cashouts, then the institutional investeros will make big cash outs, and retail buyers (normies) will try to limit their losses. The same thing happened to BTC, ETH, XMR, LTC, and a few others.

The thing is, Link is a better currency in a lot of ways than the others. So hopefully it reaches parity with ETH or higher when it does settle down after the big speculative bubble bursts.

195000 holders on etherscan, probably more due to exchanges and defi platforms.
let's say most of that was accumlated at $1, 200M tokens. that's only $1000 spent per holder... the circulating supply is scarcer and scarcer and continual shilling makes # go up

I will only post this once anon, just for you, because you seem genuinely open minded and I want you to think of this post when all hell breaks loose.
Crypto is a blessing and a curse, the most unscrupulous chinks, Russians, and various other groups can make absolute fortunes riding the waves BUT there is a serious liquidity problem in crypto. 90% of all liquidity you seen on CMC is spoofed. So what whales do is they AstroTurf /biz/ sometimes for years, planting seeds, they wait and watch which coins catch on and they start accumulating and suppressing the price. Then they let it rip like bogdanoff, when the 4channer finally thinks he’s gonna /make it/ they pull the rug, except the constant suppression makes him think that “it’s just another dip! BTFD!!!” So the whale gets the real prize gem: liquidity. It’s all a game of musical chairs for liquidity because until you cash out you’re not rich. So even the BTC whales use altcoins like LINK as personal ATMs cashing out huge chunks of BTC essentially by accumulating in the BTC/XXX pair and dumping the XXX/USD pair.

Thank you for the insightful post anon. I'm still learning and getting acclimated to the cryptocurrency markets.

>BUT there is a serious liquidity problem in crypto.
Yes, I believe this too. The whales can't just cash out without crashing the price. I have heard tales about this such as a Link whale ending up market selling off his coins dirt cheap on Binance.

So what whales do is they AstroTurf /biz/ sometimes for years, planting seeds, they wait and watch which coins catch on and they start accumulating and suppressing the price. Then they let it rip like bogdanoff, when the 4channer finally thinks he’s gonna /make it/ they pull the rug
I see. Thank you. That helps a lot to know. To be honest, it feels kind of surreal to think literal millionaires care about what happens in a crypto board on 4chan of all things but I believe it. Link, for example, feels like a cult at this point. I think a lot of people have actually bought in to the iron hands never selling meme and they will be the ones providing liquidity for the whales when they inevitably cash out.

Thanks again. I saved your post and will keep it mind for the future.

Theres about 20 in the top 100 with an occasional to everyday shill and fud threads. It was crazy in 2017 and 2018 when Ambrosus, Holochain, Cindicator, Fun, Req, Verve, Vechain, and hundreds more were all over being shilled. Most are dead memories and others survived and remained in development. Link has been the coin on biz since ICO. Dont be surprised if Sergey pulls the rug from underneath. They will milk every dime out of you. Too immature of a technology. I dont care how fast tech is rumored to be evolving. Crypto is barely a thing when you go out in the real world. I see nobody ever using it or talking about it unless you browse the web.

doesn't the top 1% of link owners own 85% of the supply or some shit? this could just be a liquidity squeeze. In which case we are beholden to the early whales.

Maybe this is just the longest pump and dump ever, have it shilled for years on end whilst accumulating and deliberately suppressing the price with FUD that could be said about any shitcoin or FUD about sergey dumping half a million every so often.

imagine actually thinking this. it's like thinking that secret racists are coordinating and shilling on /pol/ because theres no way that many people just hate niggers. Link is our coin. If you are on biz and you don't own link YOU are the outsider. ngmi

god I hope so, I had to sell so much to support myself when covid shut everything down, and then of course it pumps like crazy, even though I held since 2017

for the last 3 years, it's paid off massively. but ANY day now the REAL fundamental valuation of the LINK token will catch up with the free market so make sure you take at least your initial investment out by then.

It just dropped 13% in under an hour. Could be just a temporary thing, or could be the last. Are you buying the dip as the MARINES would have you believe, or are you missing your final chance to cash out? Because if YOU aren't cashing out, SmartContract IS, into their Cayman Islands bank accounts. I show everything in my post below.

GREED metrics are near ATH in the crypto world at the moment, go look it up.
