My post covers buying/selling tokens on exchanges (DeversiFi/Loopring), and transferring funds (Loopring/ZkSync). All layer 1 smart contracts like Synthetix/Uniswap will not be upgraded until Optimistic rollups by end of year, at which point they will scale.

But optimistic rollups are going to be used just because those upgrades generalize to any smart contract and can be picked up by everyone. The actual long term winner is zk-rollups once the research catches up to generalize the upgrades.

your list is actually good but I want a citation on that Vitalik statement. He often appreciates other crypto projects because he is more interested in building bridges than burning bridges, but I never saw him saying that he is concerned that one of them is actually going to replace ethereum.
