>> No.21339459

Monero had an early-mover advantage over Zcash for the longest time. Shielded transactions were extremely expensive to generate, both in terms of computation (8Gb of Ram + quadcore CPU) and time (a few minutes). This has largely been resolved now thanks to some R&D breakthrough. You can generate shielded transactions in less than a second on a mobile. That's also why if you do your research, you'll see a large uptick in shielded transactions. The privacy guarantees in Zcash are stronger. It used to be that Monero was more user friendly but it's now a thing of the past. With the halving coming up, I think it's a buy...

ch-checked what are your rewards? did you upgrade to heartwood and take advantage of shielded rewards? what's that experience been like?

>> No.21340504

default-off privacy means 99% of transactions are unshielded making your "private" transaction stand out plus most wallets and exchanges don't even support sending to a shielded address because they don't have to

i think XZC has pledged private-by-default by next year if you don't like XMR for whatever reason

Having the ability to choose between whether you want a shielded or non-shielded transaction has huge potential and demand for the future

I’m taking the temperature. Yours seems to be very high. Maybe you need to chill out, Fluffy Pony boy. You are too large to be stressed like this over a superior project.
