There's barely any dusk threads on /biz/ these days so I'm not surprised if people here have no idea what it's all about.

Essentially it's the leading private smart-contract-enabled privacy platform, built with the needs of the trillion dollar securities market in mind (i.e. privacy, programmability, transaction throughput, etc...)

The keywords here are FIRST, and LEGALLY COMPLIANT- the STO market is going to a massive hype-factor in the coming bullrun, and Dusk will be leading the charge together with bitfinex

For those not aware, privacy is HUGE in Europe, hence the emphasis on GDPR and privacy regulations in this part of the world. There is a lot more going on behind the scenes between Dusk and DNB- these guys are very crypto savvy and are no doubt already testing the possibilities with the Dusk platform for an implementation of the Dutch central bank digital currency.

Especially once scaling solutions such as zk-rollups are not far away from implementation to take transaction capacity to 3k+ TPS within the next 18 months, we are looking at a legitimate candidate for a privacy-enabled, legally compliant backbone of the Dutch Central Bank Digital Currency.

This is on my list for heavier research & it's often difficult to get a feel for how hard these tasks are to complete - this could be 6 months or 3 years but there's no way for me to know. I'll dig in & start asking questions on telegram but can you give me any shortcuts?

I'm guessing you're asking this in relation to when we can expect mainnet to be released?

All I know is that all of the individual components of the text stack (pic related) are complete, and that now all that is left is testing them in combination.

From a month back on TG from the tech lead:

>There is still some standalone development that needs to happen for Zedger, since it is the piece of technology constantly under scrutiny by partner, and there is always a corner case that they come up with which makes the specs a bit unstable
>but there is no major uncertainty, at least for this version, research is over

Personally I'm expecting mainnet release within the next 3 months- any sooner and their pre-staking campaign would be pointless, but much longer than that also seems unlikely given that they've completed all of the hard work building of building the components of the network.

Honestly anon I've been following this project for more than a year now and it barely gets any discussion on /biz/.

I'm pretty sure Dusk is going to be huge based on the research I've done (comes down to the 3 fundamental memes backing this project that i mentioned) so I thought I'd give anons the chance to see why this project is so legit- on a technical basis and on a meme basis.

Again I believe it's gonna moon no matter what but hopefully my posts can help some anons do their own research into this project and get in before things really take off.
