I'm a software engineer at a prestigious company but I'm completely new to cryptocurrencies and the blockchain. Is it worth specializing in this as a software engineer for the future?

I feel like this is the future. Are there companies who want blockchain experts? Is it good money compared to trading firms? That's where I got my start

most of my peers are in their 40s and 50s. boomers who don't know how to use computers. I have no idea how they do their jobs.
