When you have delta you own 50% ETH and 50% STA and fees also get added to the token. So if you hold that and eth doesnt do much and STA moons alot. You would probably have earned more just holding STA. There is also the phoenix fund where you can pool and own 5 assets instead including delta.
Delta will only go down if both eth and sta are doing really bad. But it wont be as bad if you held both of them since the fees also gets added to the token so you would lose less.

If you do it in the phoenix pool, you will own a share of the pool and the amount you pooled goes into a set % of each asset in the pool. In the phoenix pool you also get fees from the daily volume of the pool and also Bal airdrops each week. In the Delta pool you will own delta tokens. Those are 50% eth and 50% STA.
