the overall trend is down but just for shits and giggles using your pic, you could have theoretically bought the breakout over that green candle since it's technically forming a higher high and higher low now with really good risk to reward. i usually sell half at 1R and let the rest ride from breakeven to the bottom of the lows of the green candles, but you could also use the resistance levels as potential targets as well.

I find a lot of success is flag patterns that are backed up by volume and preferably are following the trend. Retracements from parabolic or extended moves also work well. NVAX was fucking beautiful full on reversal last week. I would have made good money if I wasn't done for the day.
