to understand the problem of statecraft, consider the following computer simulation (interested anons can work this out for themselves, the example was given in my stat thermo class):
- n entities ("humans")
- each entity is given $5
- simulation: entities "interface", ie, have 1 on 1 matchups where a coin toss determines whether entity 1 will give entity 2 $5 or vice versa (if an entity has 0$ and they lose, nothing happens).

now if you run this simulation long enough, you'll get a steady state distribution where the majority of the money is held by a tiny minority and the majority have nothing. if you change the simulation to make it so that the entities can go into debt, guess what happens: yup: majority have the maximum debt.

moral of the story: resource monopolies are spontaneous. however, resource hoarding leads to getting overthrown at the earliest possible opportunity bc people tend to not like being lorded over by totalitarian shitheads with hoards stolen from some other totalitarian shithead.
