Unless someone in this thread provides a real explanation on what link does, and provides a real example, a REAL WORLD EXAMPLE, with proof,
this was the absolute top for link and it's only dropping from now to sub $4 where it will be forgotten.

Don't believe me? Check out what normies are already saying.
They don't want to buy "another mooning scam coin", and whenever anyone tries to explain to them that it's not a scam, they are literally unable to provide a reason why it's not a scam, and what it actually does.

>> No.21200003

Link isnt decentralized. It functions by aggregating all the data from various oracles and averaging it out which is fucking abysmal when the whole purpose with an oracle is precise data which is what you need with smart contracts.

Sergey holds 2/3rds of the stack which isnt locked up. It is, by definition, circulating with nothing to stop him from dumping the bag. To top it off, there's been little actual development on the project.
their system for vetting oracles is literally to do it 1 by 1 and kyc them themselves. It's a useless fucking coin which is fueled solely by people wanting to dump their bags and get gains after being shilled by /biz/tards. They are blinded by their bag holding and live in echo chamber threads where each will rave about "the upsides" and "how revolutionary it is"
without actually specifying what it does, because the vast majority of them have no clue and just bought because they dont want to be poor and others shilled it hard enough. this thread is a PRIME example that nobody who shills this retarded shitcoin actually knows what it does.
it does: nothing
its headquarters: cayman islands in a complex with over 500 other tax haven businesses
its followers: devout and cult like chasing the bag
an unrestricted 2/3rds the supply: in sergeys pockets
its partnerships: fake or limited to blog posts
its staking: rumored for years but unknown time of release
its development team: doing nothing
its github: malnourished
its use cases: zero

literally even Augur is better as a decentralized oracle.

>smart contract integrates chainlink as its ""oracle"""
>chainlink then checks the value of multiple other oracles. those oracles have information fed into them by various means (this is how they get information about the mortal status of OP)
>how does it choose which oracles to check? hand picked by sergey's retarded team. """"""""""""""""decentralized"""""""""""""""""" btw.
>4 oracles report Op as dead. 2 report op as alive.
>chainlink says "ehhhhhh good enough" and report OP as dead.
it doesn't take into account the veracity of the information, value of different sources, or virtually fucking anything. it is a retarded shitcoin that is the equivalent of asking a dozen people in a room and averaging out their answers to make a decision. of course, early use case of chainlink would probabl be more in the form of a price feed. what's the price of ethereum? chainlink aggregates price of ethereum from like however many of its hand picked oracles, which in turn get the information from various exchanges, and gives you the average. when you need PRECISION, which smart contracts fucking DEPEND on, chainlink is GARBAGE

In regards to actual project that chainlink aiming to achieve it's nothing more than a basic json parser for smart contracts, would take like a day to add to ethereum by itself.. literally making links whole concept pointless and definitely no need for a token. Would take a lot longer to get it working with bitcoin but the bitcoin core devs would be able to work out the solution a lot quicker than chainlink will, think that's something worth noting that literally nothing is completed and you're literally just buying a whitepaper, they have only 2 developers and they don't communicate at all with no proven background on either, in fact sergey was involved in a project before chainlink called NxT that he since been abandoned until it was took over by a new developer team

The link delusion continues. Imagine being the person who believes that a gypsy russian with a philosophy degree and no programming experience is going to instantiate a global, paradigm shifting economic system where banks and other entities are going to willfully funnel hundreds of billions of dollars into and sit around idly while said gypsy russian and his family of neet fags take profits.

Now imagine being the person who believes that the worlds banking cartels, with arguably some of the most brilliant computer scientists out there, are going to sit by and let a gypsy russian take profits they could have had by using a simple JSON parser.

My dearest friend, it is with immense pleasure that I inform you that your letter has found safe travel to my destination and landed in my hands. However, this pleasure was fated to remain short lived and bittersweet, for I must also admit to you, regardless of what distress it may cause to you, knowing you went to great trouble to pen it and deliver it to me, that I in fact declined to open it and refused to read the message contained within. Surmising your intentions, there exists no doubt in my heart regarding your sincere worries for my financial well being, but alas your attempts to convince me to modify my investment strategies shall regretfully remain futile, as my stubbornness in this matter has indeed been sealed irrevocably and no other voice shall rock its imperturbable foundations. Allow me then to reiterate my will once more, and do your best to forever remember it for no change will follow: I shan't part ways with my beloved asset for it is my utmost belief that I have invested wisely and foresee infinite potential in its future, and therefore no other possession in this world shall change my decision, not even a mountain of gold! For my possessed asset is indeed fated to be worth more than any other riches in the world. We shan't speak of this no more. Sincerely yours, a beloved friend.

There is an entire website dedicated to explaining the use case and existing partners already using chainlink price feeds and vrf features. There is also the white paper at chain.link that can be easily read and understood. Fun fact: ctrl-f "coffee" search returns zero results. If youre too dumb to do the simplest of research i can't help you. These are not your oracles. They are sound price feeds for the world. Maybe your kids will understand.
