It’s like a secret society, they are able to keep their information “secret” by having it out in plain sight, and their esotericism only becomes obvious with the correct knowledge. It’s why this place feels like a “secret club”, despite being totally open to anyone who has the ability to type into google. It’s a sort of gatekeeper who can keep out anyone who isn’t already initiated.

There’s a cap here that gets circulated often that explains some of why this website is so powerful in its nature. I don’t have it on me (phone posting) but it explains how and why Richard Dawkins coined the term “meme”, to explain that ideas are under the same mechanisms of survival that is seen in biology. Particularly strong ideas that are ripe for propagation do just that, propagate in culture. The websites these ideas are born from can be seen as the environment they live in. Websites with strict moderation tend to fall in line with group think mentality. Websites with accounts and a voting mechanism tend to rely on a figures of authority.

A website with little moderation and no accounts, likes, favorites, or upvotes tend to be a harsher environment with purer ideas filtered through. Chainlink was birthed here and could have only been birthed here due to the nature of this website. It wasn’t “luck” or “chance”.
