Good ole' ennui. When things get boring I try to get out of the slump. Lifting is pretty grounding and helps me to feel real. It sounds strange but I can't think of a better way to put it, the mind body connection and having something I do every day. Running is similar. Inspiration strikes at the weirdest times but when it does I latch on to it and read about the subject extensively and start drafting up plans on how I'd do it. I don't always go from paper to reality but it's very exciting the times I do. Then things will lull a bit and the cycle repeats. Over time I notice I go back to old projects and ideas so it's kind of like cycling through them. There's a lot of carryover from one interest to the next, and sometimes that carry over solves a problem or I think of things in another way to solve the problem. True dead ends are rare in life, you are just blinded by artificial constraints. I can see why people are drawn to engineering now after building a few things.
I'm not ready to market it yet but I'm quite proud of the prototype plastic boiling kettles I made for beer. The target audience is poorfags who want to enjoy beer and go full boomer with a nice setup but can't pay for all steel with sanitary weld triclamp fittings. Major hurdle is people's perception. The plastic does not leach with boils but somehow plastic is chemicals while steel isn't. I could be onto something with an educational campaign. It's superior to aluminum kettles. Future products would target wine and moonshine audience. Life is about building. Whether it's personal projects, products, relationships, whtvr. Doing stuff and having frens makes life slightly more tolerable.
