only genesis addresses mine, those were set during the ICO (~4k addresses).

we can buy the MNE that the genesis addresses are generating daily and selling on exchanges - we aren't mining them (we missed the gravy train on that one).

this shit is only a week old. down the line it will be used for other blockchain functions like creating new tokens on the ETH blockchain, which in turn destroys the MNE used to create it and decreases the supply.

basically this is one of the only coins available right now that isn't already pumped to shit and brand new. but it's an ETH token (that will be used to create more ETH tokens) so it has a 90% chance of success.

I got it working btw, I now have 0.1 MNE in my wallet, here are the steps for mist wallet users:

Step 1: Contracts -> Custom Tokens -> Watch Token -> Address: 0x1a95b271b0535d15fa49932daba31ba612b52946

The rest of the MNE token should autofill its stuff for you. Click ok, you should now have 0 MNE displayed.

Next watch the contract. Right above tokens is watch contract.

Watch Smart Contract
Name ti Minereum, and copy the Address and Interface from their post.

Ok you can now add Minereum to your wallet (actually you could already, everything we just did lets us SEE how much we have, but you could add it before it would just be invisible)

Now go to livecoin -> Balance -> Minereum -> Withdraw

Put in your wallet address same as if you were sending/recieving ETH, your wallet can hold any kind of token.

Verify properly, I'd also suggest doing what I did and only transfer 0.1 MNE to make sure you didn't fuck up, then transfer the rest.

Sit back and watch your MNE slowly go up a tiny bit every day exponentially.

It took about 5 mins for me to see my MNE show up in my wallet. On windows 10 I got a desktop notification when it came in so that was nice.

Anyone who owns MNE will slowly get more as time goes on, its an exponential function. You can take a look at the code for the smart contract to see how it works.

You just won't see the MNE show up in your wallet until your wallet updates, since the way your wallet *knows* it has the stuff in it is it has loaded up the transaction on the list.

And since when synching up you download from start -> finish, your transaction to get your MNE will be far close to the end.

If I were you, I'd wait until fully synched and do the 0.1 transfer first to verify, then do the full transfer. That way you are 100% for sure doing it right and you won't lose all your tokens.

Basically for your MNE n you obtain at date x, your MNE at date y is equal to MiningFunction(n, y-x)

The mining function is just a logarithmic function of time, so the system just compares how much you had and determines how much you now have.

These addresses don't own the MNE, they just hold the formula you can query to find out how much your MNE has appreciated.

You're synchronizing with the blockchain, which basically means downloading the ledger of every transaction ever.

So yup, you are doing it right.

You can click Launch Application btw to fiddle with your wallets and settings and stuff while you wait for the download.

You just won't see any new stuff that hits your wallet until your synchronize, since each new transaction is on the end of the blockchain, which means you have to download everything before that first.

It's basically a torrent except it downloads pieces from start to finish, with the most recent transaction being the very last piece.

So if your "recieve 10 Eth" transaction is the latest one, your wallet won't show you having 10 eth until it downloads that transaction.

Took me a few hours to synchronize, just let it run overnight.

Once again, not quite. The genesis address isn't a person, its a dummy that is linked to a person's account.

Basically you can pull your MNE in/out of the contract. While out of the contract it stops growing, while in it grows.

Based on the contract at least.

I'll say for sure tomorrow when I see if my MNE grew overnight by a smidge. It should though.
