Who here hodling for the next 10 years? Talk me out of dropping another 20k USD evenly distributed across everything currently on Coinbase and just holding it for a decade. With money printer go BRRRRRRRRR, and the total market capitalization of crypto still nothing compared to that of fiat stock exchanges, I feel the decade outlook for crypto is easily a 10x-100x in the aggregate, barring some giant NWO/BIS takeover and we get IMFCoin or FedCoin and all non-comped crypto banned. Nearly every international bank is printing money / doing QE or buying corporate bonds. All fiat is on an inflationary path and the global markets have the reserve banks stuck in that if they don't print money, the ponzi scheme crashes and the social unrest upends the system, but if they do print money, it keeps their debt based ponzi scheme going long enough for them the consolidate more control while paper devalues relative to silve/gold/physical assets/crypto. What's the long game bros?

ITT looking for HODL strategies with a multi-year/decade outlook.

Decade is too long, if crypto goes parabolic again, which it's looking highly likely, 5 years is looking like a manageable time frame for retirement. I would put that 20k in LINK/ETH personally, once your net worth is high enough I would just park a small amount of cash in ETH/BTC and the rest in other less volatile assets like gold, and other boomer stocks.

I'm starting to look at crypto as a Pascals wager. Either it moons to the extreme in the long, or I lose a few K or all of it and dissolve into the ether as a wage slave.

20% metals (physical gold silver) / 20% crypto / 20% land / 20% S&P / 20% cash is my current allocation target.

This is a really bad idea anon. Ill tell you why...
3 years ago I started a "what if" blockfolio and every time I wanted to buy a coin i put $1000 worth into that blockfolio profile...guess what...theres 24 coins (basis cost $24k) in it. Its worth $78k now. Pretty good right? $67k of it is chain link. Only 3 other entries are worth more than $1k. BTC XRP and ETH. A couple are only down 50% like TRX XMR and NEO. The rest are down 90-99% yep nearly 20 "good investments" of the most hyped coins of the last bull and $1k worth has turned into literally 10 dollars on many. DBC is the worst. $1k became $6.42. I mean...the market needs people like you...but maybe let other people be you...either that, or just fuck off back to fribbit.

those images give biz ptsd

also no point in spreading so thin
just pick a few solid investments that (key component here!) you actually believe in
that way if it does go down, you probably won't sell because you know it can do better
and if it goes up, you'll probably hold thru the baby bumps and only cash out when you feel it's potential has been recognized
it's also just a much more emotionally satisfying way to invest your money

instead of chasing money to make money, chase ideas that make money

But it is anon. The money printer is BRRRR and will not stop being BRRRRR for a long time. Every international banking system from the Jekyll island beast, the BIS, the IMF, they are BRRRRRRRRing to keep the debt based system from imploding. I have made almost 40% in 2 months from metals and mining companies on normie exchanges because history shows that when money printer go brrrrrr, metals go up. And it isn't stopping.

That's still a 3x in 3 years for a blind index-based approach. Beats the S&P. You convinced me.

Chainlink wasn't on coinbase back then. Ngmi.

Fair point. Reframing the question, does /biz/ have teh big think that dollar cost averaging the top 20 coins in terms of market capitalization will beat the S&P on a 10 year outlook? Personally I think the answer is yes.

Is there a specific reason that bag holding gives you hope?
