Which part? Why they're rising? Why silver is only half?
>Tech biz continues to grow, using up industrial supply of gold and silver for electronics, solar cells, etc.
>Private collection demand increases, as people realize the US Fed literally cannot stop devaluing the dollar. If you have a gold or silver coin, you're storing value independent of any country's currency

as for the ratio:
In the earth's crust, silver is about 6x more abundant than gold. I don't think there's a significant difference in mining and refining costs. But there's much more demand for gold, both as an investment, and as an industrial material, so it tends to be valued higher than the 6:1 ratio chemistry implies. Historically the value ratio has been anywhere from 16:1 to 100:1

Exactly... now is the time to load up on fiat debt. Then pay off your mortgage and debts with a couple ounces of gold or silver and keep the rest of your stack.

Waiting for gold and silver to buy a house is dumb because a house is a real asset and its price will inflate as well. Likely not as much as PMs but still.

Look at weimer Germany, bread was selling for millions of marks... you really think home owners are just going to sell their house for the equivalent of a couple loafs of bread.

The (((people))) that got ahead bought capital assets, machinery and factories on fiat debt... and then held through the war and paid it off for pennies on the dollar

Inflation means tough economic times. People will sell assets to get buy, and buying power will drop as salaries will definitely not keep up with inflation, plus credit will dry up. Likely mitigating factors are federally issued income supplements like UBI, and direct federal mortgages. The feds really really really do not want The Boomer Retirement plan to fail, so both are likely.

Real estate will not track inflation as well as PMs, and so will fall relatively speaking. A 2x drop is reasonable to expect, over the next few years IMO.

And if anyone doesn't watch, the real answer is real negative yields currently and the expectation that the Fed will institute a policy of institutional negative rates in September with a combination of 1) abandoning the 2% inflation target and 2) instituting 10 Year yield controls. This will cause steep negative interest rates for the 10 Year and makes gold and silver exceptionally attractive to the types of institutions that would normally be holding 10 Year Treasuries.

Yes, also the demand for physical has broken the gold and silver paper markets. The sheer volume of people standing for delivery has destroyed the ability of JPM to continue price control through monopolistic shorting. So that's allowed silver to rise, but the ultimate driver behind the continued rise is plain and simple negative yields.

Yeah, not the best risk, I agree. But it can be safely assumed that actions/reclamations of that style would be so unpopular that they're not an option. It would fuck with property prices too, so the banks probably wouldn't be able to go after people who aren't delinquent. They wouldn't get anything other than tax liabilities and no one will buy, except maybe foreigners. It would have to be supported by public policy. You are missing the point...

Doesn't matter the price point. If you are if the mindset fiat is collapsing and hyperinflation is coming... then buying hard assets with as much fiat leverage as possible is the best play.

Real estate is easy to by with 80% leverage. Gold not so much. If you can somehow buy gold with 80% leverage then you would obviously do that instead of real estate.

Based strategy, I just have the two houses, .5mil value, mortgaged at 400k right now, got renters building my equity for me on the second property.

What these shitlords don’t get is you have to live somewhere and all the rent they pay vanishes, at least if they had a mortgage they would be building equity. As you are doing we can still stack PMs in the meantime to play the asset reallocation when they moon and pay off mortgage, but we’re allready in the game, whereas these stacklets think they’ll just walk up to somebody’s house with a sack of silver and grab the deed and a BJ for their trouble

And every one of those satellites is tracked by Chinese anti-satellite drones. None of our military leaders are confidant in our standing against China because the serious black budget has been funneled into the pet projects of a shadow oligarchy that cares more about developing a global system of total enslavement with the Chinese oligarchs as partners than destroying them. The entire reason they're allowed to "steal" our military tech with impunity is because the true owners of that tech want them to have it as part of enslaving the Chinese people just as Western populations are being enslaved. That those owners can sell the tech to the Chinese leadership is just a bonus.

There will be no war against China because the people who get to decide whether nations go to war or not are all on the same side. Only poor, insignificant nations like Afghanistan, Syria, etc. get invaded and the international factionalism is an exercise in theater to determine which oligarchs get top cut.

Not going to argue the danger, obviously would be, but when something has:
100% plausible deniability
quite likely able to target only certain demographics
quite likely to have some sort of antidote/vaccine already in place for those on the right side
wont destroy infrastructure/farmland
There is the very real possibility that if your side does not do this first, the other side most certainly will.
Its not MAD, first to go through with it, wins.
Land and elimination of rivals is still a very strong enticement, especially for china, stoking more fears of "they will do it first if we dont"

then chances are it may very well be used, unforeseen consequences be damned.

When gold and silver was banned how long was the ban and what was the ban actually for? How did this affect prices before during and after? The idea of an incoming ban seems to be likelier everyday.

For the meme value? I'd say sure. At worst prices stay roughly the same and you pay a couple bucks premium/oz over what you ideally could. From a purely investment point of view I'd still say sure fuck it because I don't think we've seen the end of this rise, and I truly believe we're aiming for a 'new normal' price range. Can't tell you when we're gonna start to plateau out, but we could be looking at unemployment extensions and $1200 to a lot of people being pulled out of nowhere, so all signs point to an even larger increase. For the past few days we've been seeing a dollar a day increase in spot.

If it's just one, I'd say get one for luck.

I remember the gold rush of 2009 which popped in 2012. If we're still in the start, I'd still be good. The prices never went back down to 2009 levels, they went back to 2010 levels at the absolute low.

I might just buy one. I mean in 2040 will be funny to look at a silver coin with a bat on it I bought in 2020.

Dumbass's advocate:

I don't fucking know. I don't know why 2011 was the way it was, and I don't know how they'd be able to kick the proverbial can a bit farther down the line. What I do know is that this is a very unique situation, but the true test will be to see how these prices fare after the election in November. If this issue is still pressed a year from now, or if it just fades out from November to February.

I'm not expert on any of this shit, I'm just a shitposting retard buying rocks with bats engraved on them hoping they'll be worth more inflated paper in the future. I just think the inevitable dip (whether it's a year from now, 2, 3, or 4 months) will still make that coin worth a bit more than it is today.

GDXJ and SILJ are a miner shell companies holding shares in another minet shell company holding paper shares of "miners" who are in fact riddled with "take or pay" derivatives with refiners, mints, governments and financial operatives. These take or pay contracts mean that the miners must deliver silver and gold at set prices far below the benchmark GLD and SLV standards . If they cant they must pay or they will be taken by COMEX.

What happens as this force majuere unwinding rolls up the food chain. And what happens when there is nothing left but futas? What the the value of a miner shell company with no assets except swampland after delisting?

GDXJ and SILJ will get delisted due to Force Majuere soon, and the people here who are foolishly buying options on them will lose everything as they should.

We are in an inescapable situation where real rates for bonds are on a knife edge, with the Fed choosing between preventing an equity dump (stock market) or a bond dump. We need to print a lot more money to prop up the real economy and boomer stocks for retirement because of politics but because there is no recovery on Main St anytime soon everyone knows their treasury bonds will lose value regardless of what the nominal interest is for the foreseable future and is slowly moving to the exit (precious metals). Basically the safety of a US bond is no longer attractive enough to offset the negative return now that the shock and uncertainty of corona is over but the dead weight of the economy is hamstringing the effectiveness of Fed brrrrr.

Under the Securities Exchange Act, Rule 14a-9 was enacted to prohibit false (physical) silver premiums. Rule 14a-9 states:

No premium subject to this regulation shall be made by means of any proxy statement, form of proxy, notice of meeting or other communication, written or oral, containing any statement which, at the time and in the light of the circumstances under which it is made, regardless of any futa, miner, Sprott ETF, or junior miner, which, at the time and in the light of the circumstances under which it is made, is false or misleading with respect to SLV being real silver …

Under federal securities laws investors and others harmed by owning FAKE (physical) silver and paying premiums can file civil lawsuits to recover their losses.
This is actually breaking US Law.

On a similar note the mint is still selling some 5 oz coins for around 30.99 an once. I expect those to be gone within days as this might be the cheapest silver available right now.
