That's how a stablecoin is formed. How many people have actually exchanged some Tether for money from the foundation? The price is based on the assumption they can get 1 USDT for $1.

Ampl is based on the assumption that the algorithm will bring the price back to $1, except that is actually guaranteed unlike USDT.
