It's simply not a very good oracle project. It is not decentralized at all, it's expensive as fuck, the token is not needed in the slightest... The best argument would probably be that shit might very well hit the fan soon, and what today is $50k in crypto could be worth a hell of a lot less tomorrow, but a hell of a lot more if it was in guns, bullets, material goods, gold and silver. Assuming a continuity of markets and crypto's status within them, though (and that is really much more likely than the former possibility, at least for a while) there's no real reason not to invest in Link, even with the tech-illiterate answers in this thread accounted for.
