Dev Protocol allows creators to tokenize open assets. Examples of open assets are open source software (Github), open services (Youtubers), and open content (TradingView).

1. Go to coingeko. https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/dev-protocol#markets
2. Click "markets"
3. Click DEV/ETH
4. You are now on uniswap, exchange your eth on metamask for DEV with a click of a button.

Dev Protocol’s major use case is currently open source software. Github, acquired by
Microsoft in 2018 for $7.5 Billion, is the largest open source community in the world.
Github has over 40 million users with 2.5 million users being open source software
developers. Enterprises are joining the open source movement including Spotify, Stripe,
Deutsche Borse Group and Zendesk. Microsoft employees were the most prolific
GitHub contributors in 2018, with approximately 7,700 unique contributions (and 4,550
total contributors in 2017).
Dev Protocol offers a unique value proposition to Github, owned by Microsoft, to
tokenize their user’s open source software which is why they were invited to Microsoft
for Startups in 2019. Dev Protocol is about to launch their oracle solution Khaos which
will connect to Github to tokenize open source software. In addition, the team will be
adding asset authentication by GUI in Stakes.social V2. This gives Dev Protocol the
potential to tokenize the work of Github’s 2.5 million open source software developers.

Since its inception, Dev Protocol onboarded 1,600 open source software projects which had
more than 8.4 Billion monthly downloads. Dev Protocol has made creators $70K
(1,583,327 DEV). Users have been taking advantage of Dev Protocol’s Stakes.Social high
interests rates (75%) by staking their DEV. The interest rate will decrease with more
users staking, but increase with more creators authenticating their assets. However,
with Dev Protocol’s upcoming integration to tokenize Github’s open source software
the APY should grow across assets.
