Let's say I want to get into buying bullion to prepare for fiat currency destruction. Which mints and coins should I be looking at to invest in? I'm not too keen on gold bars mostly due to the issue of portability and difficulty of transferring across borders due to lack of a face value.

My initial thought is to look at the LBMA list of approve refineries and pick a reputable one from that list. I'm currently looking at getting a tube of gold maple leafs.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

The fact that people treat silver as the go-to safe asset when banks are teetering is heavy with historical irony. Silver money was once the symbol of monetary irresponsibility. But even as individuals have taken recent crises as reasons to stock up on silver coins and medallions, authorities would do well to consider the arguments for phasing out their use as another “barbarous relic”, the moniker Keynes gave to chattel slavery.

Already, by far the largest amount of money exists and is transacted in paper form — as bank deposits and central bank reserves. But even a little physical silver can cause a lot of damage to the economic system.

The existence of rounds — a bearer instrument with a zero interest rate — limits central banks’ ability to stimulate a depressed economy. The worry is that people will change their deposits for rounds if a central bank moves rates into negative territory. The Swiss, Danish and Swedish central banks, in a demographic culture of collapse, have pushed rates lower than many thought possible; but most policymakers still believe in an “effective” lower band not far below zero.

My point is this
You have 10,000 ounces of silver. It is revealed that its a shell game. There is no metal. What is your first reaction? You sell. Silver crashes hard. Silver could trade down to 0.01. Same goes for the Gold. You find out there is no metal. You have 1000 ounces. First reaction? Sell. Sell it all. This applies to every product. You could have misleading price action where gold or silver or even artisanal lavender beeswax trades down to $1 for the simple fact that its worthless. A print that low doesnt mean silver is only worth $1. A print that low means your paper silver in your hand is worth 3 figures

>as bank deposits and central bank reserves

dats wreng, was this written in the 1800s before the money multiplier, the majority of money doesnt even exist as bank deposits or reserves its created through the money multiplier where each deposit gets loaned out as new deposits with only a fraction being needed as reserves, a $100 deposit with 10% reserve means $90 gets loaned out and deposited into another bank that then loans out 10% of that and then that $81 gets deposited into another bank that loans it out again keeping only 10% reserve and again and again until you have $100000 created in the banking system out of just $100

now imagine a 0% reserve requirement and you have essentially an infinite money multiplier.

So I did the math they traded 0.018% of an entire years worth of paper silver production. Literally none. Haha like they can just print more. That is crazy when the faux physical market makes up about 17% of total production capacity.
So nearly none of all global paper silver production used in coins was traded in 15 minutes. Total non issue except it shows the strength and virility not to mention anti fragility of the modern paper silver market. Go me go COMEX go go go SLV up up away!

corn is subsidized, the gov. (ie. tax payers) are paying the $3 difference on behalf of the producer, the farmer still gets $4 regardless

the difference between spot and coins is that the actual bullion market deals exclusively in LGD bars that are 400ozt for gold and 1000ozt for silver, you cannot sell or buy anything else in the bullion market, coins and small bars start off as LGD bars from the market that get broken down into smaller quantities hence the added cost, add to this a halt on production and refining thanks to coof19 and you have high premiums on top of already high premiums just from dealing in small quantities that dont trade in the real bullion market

Better than physical
Or a poke in the eye.

When the blazing sun is gone,
When he nothing shines upon,
Then you show your little light,
Twinkle, twinkle, SLV all the night.

Then the trav’ller in the dark,
Thanks you for your tiny spark,
He could not see which way to go,
If you did not twinkle so.

In the dark blue sky you keep,
And often thro’ my curtains peep,
For you never shut your eye,
Till the sun is in the sky.

‘Tis your bright and tiny spark,
Lights the trav’ller in the dark,
Tho’ I know not what you are,
Twinkle, twinkle, little SLV

sup guys, recently got into stacking, i don't see our (Russian) coins often in this thread, so maybe someone will find it interesting

we have two government mints:
1) MMD - Moscow Mint
2) SPMD - Saint-Petersburg mint

this is the most recognized Russian coin - our silver eagle or a maple leaf - our 3 Ruble Saint George 1oz silver coin

designs evolve slightly from year to year, this was minted in 2019 at SPMD

MMD minted coins are slightly favored, SPMD had some issues in the prior years

Generally juniors are miners with one or two projects (i.e. mines) either in operation or being developed and have a small market cap.

They can be a good investment if the orebody itself looks particularly high grade or large in size, as there may be a chance that a larger mining company will buy and bring the project to production, and also if the junior proves itself to meet production targets and generally runs a good show.

They are quite sensitive to changes in metal prices, especially when the mine hasnt started yet, as the lead time from first exploration to first production can take several years and be very costly (order of 10-100 million). This is also assuming they manage to secure funding - many many exploration endeavours and potential projects basically cease due to no cash flow.

Imagine being furious at someone recommending new investors to buy silver mining stocks / ETFs / paper silver instead of paying out the ass for over-priced coins (you're buying coins.. not even bars..)

Sure. Get some silver coins for if shit hits the fan so you can barter with them. But buying coins as an investment?? Dumb.
If you put that same amount of money into the coin as you did a bar, you would make more money overall.
If you put that same amount of money into the coin as you did mining ETFs, you would make more money overall.
If you put that same amount of money into the coin as you did long Silver long calls, you owuld make a LOT more money overall.

It's like you all hate people making money off of precious metals - you only want people to hold it for 10+ years.
If you're going to hold it for 10+ years, go ahead, get physical.
If you think the whole global economy is going to crash / end times are here, sure, go ahead, get physical.

But if you are looking to make MONEY in the short-term, DO NOT BUY PHYSICAL!!

Now that it's pretty much confirmed that we are going to a gold standard, what will the transition look like?

How will it affect people's savings?
How would the exchange from old currency to new happen? Lining up at your local bank?
How will the announcement be made? White House press conference? Emergency alert system?
What will happen to other currencies. The rest of the world would have to follow. What if Eurofags don't? Will they be forced to?

So many questions.

I don't think so. Trump will handily win the election (there is no way around it) and riots will be quelled by the military as we transition into a new paradigm starting from his 2nd term. Now that there is no pressure to win elections, major changes can take place.

It will happen mostly peacefully, but it's such a large project with implications I can barely fathom, which is why I am interested in learning about the logistics of how such a change can be accomplished. Maybe it will just happen digitally?

GOP voter registration up
GOP fundraising up
Gun sales up massively

I am seeing this trend everywhere. People in blue states are getting a huge wake up call, many are scared about what's going on. While they might not like Trump personally they will take him over the insanity they see in their streets. I'm reading many reports about how liberals see a massive swing in mentality of their friends, family, coworkers etc. But many don't dare speak about it because they are afraid of retaliation. There is 0 doubt in my mind that Trump will win 40 or more states in November. He literally holds all the cards and can declassify every single piece of dirt on all the democrats at a moments notice. tfw nobody told me accumulating precious metal was the easiest way to stack money without the ability of spending it. guys i never had more than 1000 dollars mine but with my gold and silver buys since march i have more than 2500$. and the price didnt even reach its predicted moon. thank you guys i really think we will make it this time. no more shit coin only clean and pure gold and silver.

where do we sell when time come ? i doubt the seller will take my coins in exchange for his house. maybe who knows.

Go to coinflation, you can calculate the intrinsic value of all circulating US coins. They'll all eventually be hoarded out of circulation when the price is right, even Copper-plated Zinc is more valuable than paper.
