Learn to sell local tops, or stfu and hold.
Yesterday everyone was proclaiming golden bull run and counting their future wealth. It was a stupidly obvious indicator of an impending selloff.

>What the hell happened and why did it affect every crypto?

This is why I will NEVER put any serious money into crypto. Its SHADY AF and when the average person (who actually knows about cryptoes, not the real average person who knows shit about anything) can't explain why it goes up or down, you know you're in a speculative ponzi scheme. Worse still, it has spikes (oops!) and crashes (oopsies again!) that happen at inopportune times when you're sleeping (thanks for playing!)
How you kids still manage to buy into this is BEYOND ME, but you're chasing the dream so fuck me, right?
The only people making money now are exchanges ..or larpers on this site (who conveniently NEVER show their account 'profits'...just some bullshit blockfolio).
Do yourselves a favor and start to learn something like stocks that actually have some regulation, because you guys will never fucking learn, until you have move back into mom's basement.
Peace.

This is exactly why I’m in crypto. If some whales dumping can still have this kind of impact on the price, it means we are still early enough to make ridiculous gains. Once institutional money moves in there will be far less volatility but also less money to be made

>> No.20922656

>>20922576
lmao "institutional" money is about protecting their assets not gambling them for the chance at beating the S&P. Regulations is what gives the average joe confidence in giving his money to ETFs and Funds because he knows his money will be protected by uncle sam thats why Crypto will never work as a long term investment vehicle.

The average joe is literally a braindead zombie if you idiots got out of your basements you'd realize that. People dont want to have to deal with wallets and no one to complain to when they lose their keys.

It was the last CME correction. Look at the addresses of the dump and you can tell. Good news means we are not carrying anything for the GBR.

Speaking of the GBR...

Don't worry fren, these sharp dips lessen in magnitude as the market gains liquidity. The flash-crashes in earlier days weren't bad... then whales started their shit. 2017 was a financial sniper's paradise. As more sophisticated defi contracts and more raw money is poured into the industry as a whole, the less able single entities are to manipulate the market like this.

Just don't fucking margin trade and you'll be fine.

BTC is a volatile, speculative ASSET that will never be used as a legitimate currency on a *universal level (key words). You guys complain and pump and dump scams when that is all BTC ever has been. The blockchain technology is great, but the decentralized aspect of it is a ruse, a fucking facade. You guys traded the Federal Reserve for the manipulation of coordinated whales. Long story short, OP, you all got DUMPED on as expected. What good is a "cryptocurrency" if it can't even be used as a stable currency? Again, BTC and many others are simply volatile, speculative assets. The solution to the whale problem is an elastic supply protocol. Buy AMPL, hold/never sell, and shut the fuck up with these stupid threads.

Will never be used as a currency on a universal level. The fixed supply makes BTC susceptible to drastic increases/decreases in perceived value, which manipulative whales can use for their advantage by preying on human nature. A stable currency with an elastic supply protocol is the solution to this.

Richfag dumped $1B all at once. Probably wanting to cut a profit now before some other richfag beat him to it. But I guess he was holding a few of the big name coins. It sent a ripple affect that trickled down to the shitcoins. Things have stabilized, but weak-willed fags have been selling off as they wake up to see markets in the red.
