Hi. My name's Michael. I've been around on this board. I've seen too many shitcoins. I've worked on shitcoins, about two. I think I've had enough at this point. I've seen too many people who seemed decent turning out to be cross-dressers with heavy mental and emotional baggage, combined with schizophrenics helming what eventually turn into scams for tiny amounts of money.

The absolute horseshit I've had to put up with has taught me plenty. I wish that I never learned any of it, but I also wish the opposite at the same time. I decided it would be better to make it work for something rather than just letting myself sit here and rot with it. Probably going to join the Navy before my 20s, and maybe I'll have made something from it by then.

If you're still reading, you probably think what I'm going to say is complete horseshit and want to laugh and leave a funny reply. Maybe you already think what I've said is still horseshit. Maybe you're interested. Either way, just listen. It's decent at best, mediocre at worst.

Zero-Knowledge proofs were a big leap compared to the other proof systems (Stake/Work). If you don't know what they are or how they work, the gist is that they allow people to make transactions between eachother without the need of any kind of arbiter, such as a miner or blockchain explorer. To put it in really basic terms, again, the AZTEC protocol uses this model, and has a tri-faceted approach, in which there's two keys and a 'message' containing transaction data, and these all packaged together are called a 'note.' the two keys here are the Viewing and Spending keys. If you have knowledge of the Viewing key, you can view transaction data, so it essentially functions as a private key. The spending key essentially functions as a public key and signs all transactions. Ownership is defined by the knowledge of the viewing key. Each and every note made is held within a registry which tracks the ownership of an encrypted abstract value of a given note.

eh at the moment there isn't a single protocol that does something special with zero knowledge proofs.

How is this different to the numerous other blockchains that have ZK SNARKS like scrt network

>> No.20857171

The method by which these notes can be transacted upon is called a join-split transaction. An existing note is taken from the registry and then combined with a new note signifying the transfer of abstract value, and then signed using the spending key.

The only problem here, and with practically any other implementation of this system, is that validation of these ledgers has to be done manually. Someone has to go in and audit every transaction made using this model in order for it to work properly.

Here's what sets this apart: SHADOW would solve that problem by implementing the use of both a decentralized oracle system, and then a tumbler. Chainlink and Mixicles. If you don't know how those work, I'll keep explaining.

You're probably familiar with all the memes surrounding Chainlink. You might not have even read the whitepaper once. Maybe you did and didn't understand a single word. It decentralizes the process of connecting the blockchain to the outside world through 'oracles,' essentially real-world data processors for many differing statistical and event-based factors, which would broaden the horizon for smart contracts using Ethereum (Futures contracts, ETFs, Currency equivalents, etc.)

We're obviously not getting that complex here. It's quite simple, really: Oracles essentially make 'reports' of their findings from the real world to the blockchain, influencing whichever smart contracts require such data to function. By doing this the other way around, we'd essentially be having decentralized oracle systems create real-world reports on information from the blockchain. Those real-world reports would be automated outputs of information from the ledgers created by a ZK proof system, and no single trusted source would be needed in order to do as such. A system where everyone is anonymous that can simultaneously be audited for consistency of reported value.

furthermore, the people behind Chainlink created what's known as a tumbler, in which people put in and take out, but the knowledge of who deposited what isn't known to the transactor, and vice versa. When released, Mixicles would essentially be using the same decentralized oracle network to achieve such a system without any need for a trusted setup step (setup and deployment by a finite, but multiple number of parties), and could again, be audited automatically for consistency via the use of oracles. When paired with a chainlink/ethereum-based store of value, and with the AZTEC ZK proof model, an extra step can be taken in privacy. Not only do we have a decentralized registry of all of the coins being taken out, but now they're being 'tumbled' during their transfer. And when taken out, they're again going through the same join-split transfer process using AZTEC.

In no way, shape, or form, is one person involved, save for contract deployment.

TL:DR: I'ts private and completely decentralized. There is absolutely no need for human involvement with this thing.

Right now, I'm behind on finishing the whitepaper for this thing. I made the logo for a certain (schizoid) man who screwed me out of five months of my life and got me into taking an HTML course for the summer instead of economics for absolutely no fucking reason. I still like it, though, and it's the center of my design philosophy. Simple, with no need for any flair. Small byte sizes and simple vectors in monochrome. I want to be able to fit an entire website onto a floppy disk. I want to make hardware wallets that can interface with a Macintosh Plus and a MacBook Pro seamlessly.

But I have no one to help me. No designers. No other developers. No one who's even interested in just having a chat about this thing.

Some of you asked for a link to buy earlier. I had a nice chuckle at that. This thing will probably be out by the end of the year, if I get help. But I need people to get interested.

I don't need your money. But I need your time and your attention. Not too much to ask, is it? I had a friend make this thing for me:

(link marks as spam, fill in the dot.)

It's not a honeypot. Honest to god, I'm just some shithead from Massachusetts. Nothing special about me other than the head on my shoulders. I need help here, in any capacity you can give it. If you read this far, the least you could do is tell someone else. Not asking for evangelists here or anything like that. Just help me garner interest.

That's it. Feel free to ask questions, I need all the feedback I can get.
