Well, the US Mint said that they omitted mint marks on the ASE for the sake of homogeneity. They wanted the bullion coins to be uniform in design so that coin enthusiasts wouldn't search rolls for P, D, or S mint marks that would add numismatic value far exceeding the bullion value of the coins.

Here's the story behind these photos:
Back in 2015 I regularly purchased these eggs from Costco at $2.99. There was some kind of widespread bird flu scare and an "egg crisis" that hit the farmers between about May of that year: https://www.nytimes.com/2015/05/15/business/bird-flu-outbreak-chicken-farmers.html
One day in early June of 2015 I went to Costco to pick up my regular 5 dozen eggs and the price had jumped to $7.29 and I was like WTF! I didn't take a photo and I decided to buy the pasteurized kind in the box. About 2 weeks later on June 20th, the price jumped to $14.99 and naturally, I wouldn't buy eggs anymore at that point but I started taking the photos to show my wife the unbelievable increase. By August 8th they were up to $17.99.

The lower prices were when the eggs came back down. The lowest price you see is actually when the price was returning to normal and that was taken on June 5th, 2016 (about a year after the increase shot up).

My point of all this is that I'm was just an average consumer observing something that left a lasting impression on me. I always knew that this was a lesson for me on things to come.

A plastic pan is probably better for beginners but seasoned miners / snipers prefer metal pans as there less likely to break and you can cook with them in camp. When your doing 50 pans a day on average the plastic ones just cant hold up.
