what i mean by think of how trading would happen in person. say there are 10 shares of a company being traded in a room think of how the price is determined, what people are asking for their shares and what people are willing to pay for their shares. if the company is garbage most likely people won't want to pay alot for them so sellers will bring the price down to sell their useless shares if someone is asking $2 and someone is willing to buy at $2 the price goes up to $2 if someone sells to someone wanting to buy at $1 the price will go to $1 its a back and forth sometimes no shares trade in some stocks because buyers and sellers don't come to an agreement.

volume is just the amount of shares being traded. a big sell off could cause high volume that causes the stock to go down (down volume) or a spark in interest in the company by the public could cause huge volume that causes stock to go up (up volume) if buyers buy the asking price (slaping the ask) this will cause the price to go up, then you also have shorts that need to cover when stocks start going up, this adds fuel to flame.

The name itself should be a fucking red flag. Back when it was just competitive gaming it was what it said on the tin, the entire 'esports' brand is an attempt to mainstream something that cant be fucking mainstreamed. It has two issues that seperate it from actual sports.

The first is anyone can participate in the game, not at a high level, but its a lot easier than with actual sports since the only equipment it requires people aleady have.
I hear what you are saying now "what about twitch, youtube, etc, people love watching people play video games!". This is true, but the main reason people watch these things is to either get tips themselves, as a review mechanism, or to watch a personality they follow play a game they have already played themselves.

The second, and perhaps more important, is that the kind of competitive 'identity' that drives team based sport fans does not exist, and wont exist. The reason is that casual fan bases of sports are solidified and made possible by the more extreme and dedicated fans. The counterpart to this core element in electronic games are people who are dedicated players, since issue one above allows them to express their dedicated by actually becoming extremely skilled instead of having to simply be a primary follower.

Any spectical will draw some attention, and so as i said its not going to die completely but it will never match professional sports, and trying to go at it from that direction is potentially disastrous.

They are 3x leveraged etfs. They always go to zero. Read about decay. Never hold leveraged etfs long.

Basically they track an index of certain actual stocks. Except when that index goes up 1% you gain 3% and vice versa. So you put $1 into jnug, the stocks it tracks go up 1% you now have 1.03. Except the next day those stocks go down 1% you think you broke even, but you didn't. You lost 1% OF THAT 1.03 so you lost more.

Basically they're a scam to take money from millenials. You can make money, just know what you're getting into and don't hold. I keep some at the top of my watchlist for daytrading when I'm bored and only hold for 2 hours or less.
