This is normal. The bigger the market, the smaller the fluctuations.

Small cap cryptos will pump and dump 20% every day but nobody cares. On the other hand, think about how much money moves in the stock market every day. If the S&P500 moves 3% it makes headlines.

it is meant to be used as a currency

if Judy + co succeed and SWIFT ends in favour of a US-asset backed cryptocurrency that actually functions as such, no more dirty money because everyone can audit it, banks cannot lie about what they may have, remittance transfers can be tracked worldwide rather than just local banks to whatever banks they may be in contact with.

now, the big thing everyone should be arguing about is why would XRP be pegged to gold? people have high hopes of nesera, as do I even though i'm not a US citizen. but this is something I am not sure of myself, and i'd like others insight as to why XRP would be pegged to gold.

my current theory is that since it can be split into more fractions than the dollar-system, it can still retain value and be used for day to day life as much as corporate activities, allowing it to be an incredibly stable representation of US dollar if backed by gold, within any given field of use.

XRP of course is the coin that could function very well as a currency, given how much banks already love it as well. considering US banks now accept cryptocurrencies in some form, there is a lot going to happen very soon for the crypto world in general.

I was heavily invested in XLM for a long stretch of time. I eventually sold all and went all in with LINK. I should have sold earlier though instead of watching XLM tank in price.

In the end though I made the right choice. I would honestly feel like total shit If i was still holding XLM instead of thousands and thousands of LINK tokens.

XRP is a revenue generation tool for bankers, not plebs. any rally will be met with an institutional sell-off.
furthermore, XRP is basically the banker's hedge: XRP takes over? it's business as usual, banks win. crypto dies? business as usual, banks win. bitcoin/ether/monero become the new paradigm? excellent, we tricked a bunch of idiots into exchanging precious, limited satoshis for our shit-coin printed exactly like the BRRRRR machine.
why are you letting them win, anon?

The digital dollar will be pegged to gold, not XRP. XRP will be what every other asset is measured against kind of like how Bitcoin has been treated by the rest of the crypto market so far. Supposedly, the value of XRP will be so high that whales can't move it.

what he said, make sure you diversify. at the very least get a sui stack of XRP but look into other coins that have great potential for the future. its a marathon on a sprint.

I also love the idea of money for the people, decentralization, end the fed and bankers blah blah.. but lets get real.. you think a bunch of basement dwelling neckbeards and autists will suddenly take over the finanvial industry? Or do you think all of the well connected banker chads and current power structures will adopt/regulate and take control of the future of crypto?

Well, as an autist turd and bagholder, I'm going to need someone to help me manage my newfound wealth. And that'll likely be finance chads who profit from that.

The market stands to go up from a bunch of people reinvesting that new cashola into indexes and even pumping other coins.

Ripple was funded $200 million in a series C and is worth 20 Billion. They could live off that for years and never touch the XRP. but they have bigger plans.

Also any unsold XRP goes back into escrow.
The price of XRP hasn't gone up because Over the counter sales don't factor on its price.
