Pardon my ignorance, but if the target price of AMPL is 1$ and supply automatically increases or decreases when it moves away from the target price, your 1$ invested will eventually always be worth 1$.

There is very little chance ampl will ever surpass 3$ and whales will make sure it will not. Because they dont want you fuckers to get 30-40+%. They are happy with dumped the price at 3$ all the way down to 1$ trippling their investment while you get ridiculous 10% rebase in average.

Instead of looking at the price chart, you have to look at the market cap chart. When market cap goes up, you make money. If it goes down, you lose money. Simple as that.

I bought about 600 ampl at $2 (for $1200).

now I have sold some in between for liquidity purposes, but at this rate by the time it hits 1$ I will be left with about 8000-10000 1$ AMPL's. Plus at the time it either goes on coinnbase or gets listed on the first defi platform as collateral, pumps will make it more. This has been my legit first literally x 10 in crypto Feels good
