Have pointed out in several threads that, for two months now, David Brady and others have been leading their followers off a cliff with this "buy the dip" attitude, and are still doing so. Trying to be clever, talking constantly about a coming pullback in gold, drawing lines on charts to shake poor gold-investors out of their positions, and not understanding the fundamentals of the gold and silver market, where TA has nothing to do with the present situation. You cannot apply TA when the fundamentals are a short squeeze and the destruction of a manipulation scam. If you don't have any gold, silver, or miners now, you are mad. Nobody should go all-in yet, everybody should have a third of their wealth in cash, but everybody needs some exposure.

If by PMs you also include mining stocks, know that you almost never sell a mining stock in a PM bull market, because, as Don Durrett says, you may be cashing out at double or triple rather than at 50x or 100x. And as for physical PMs, anybody who goes about buying and selling those regularly, and losing money on fees and premiums, is a fool. Those who have made the most money so far are not the David Brady day-traders, but the ones who simply bought in March and held.

No, I'm not talking about mining stocks. I'm also not talking about making short term trades (including stuff picked up in March).
The game is to buy whatever people don't want and then wait for it to be the hot thing on the market. If you buy in as something is way up, you're running the risk of just being the bagholder for whoever got in early.

If you were stacking gold 18 months ago, you're already looking at a solid return if you cash everything out now. If you buy now you're risking the same amount of capital for less return.

You are welcome. If you want to build a sort of pseudo-GDXJ or SILJ portfolio, these are perhaps the best three mid-tiers in either which are listed on the NYSE:

GDXJ

Yamana Gold
Kinross Gold
Eldorado Gold

SILJ

Fortuna Silver Mines
First Majestic Silver
Hecla Mining

If you want to speculate with a small cap, MUX (McEwen Mining) is also listed on the NYSE. I am heavily invested in this stock. You can read about it here:

Endeavour Silver is outperforming Yamana because silver stocks usually outperform gold stocks in a PM bull market. Endeavour Silver is a pure silver miner which will profit enormously from rising silver prices, whereas Yamana is mixed gold and silver, mostly gold. Yamana also started with a higher market-cap.

This is what the people in power want. Coronavirus hoax was invented to provide a cover for the inevitable stock-market crash in March, so that they should re-start Q. E again, and prop up the ponzi scheme a little longer. It also covers up the fact that the economy was going to collapse anyway; now, when it happens, they can say, "Well, we were only trying to protect all of you; that's why the economy fell apart; we simply made a mistake, a terrible blunder, by locking everything down." Either that or double down on lying about how dangerous it is and continuing with the theatre of lockdowns, masks, etc. At any rate, now they direct anger outwardly, at China, possibly even hide behind a war to flee the consequences of their sin and the anger of the public.

Spot price temporarily affects the miners. You couldn't buy one-ounce coins for $12 in March, but, if were holding miners, you were down 40-50%. The idea of the people waiting on the side is that they will wait until the spot price crashes, then buy the miners up again for nothing. An arrogant idea which has cost them the ability to double their money since May. I'm not selling my miners, and I doubt others will be foolish enough to do so at this point either.

Keith Neumeyer of FSM was intelligent enough to refuse to sell silver any more at below $17. Don't know about the other miners.

The idea of those sitting on the side is that spot gold will plummet, and that the prices of the miners will simply plummet with it, and that there will be a general panicked sell-off like the one which we had in March. Brady's followers have been arrogantly talking about "getting their shopping-lists ready" for two months now, as if anybody would be stupid enough to sell their miners to them at this point. Meanwhile, the list of miners which I gave to /pmg/ on 22/07/20 has doubled in one month alone. >>20570808

it's kind of a myth that pirates of yesteryear boarded ships and looted gold. i'm not saying it never happened, but it was very rare. much more common is they would find items/patents onboard, and infringe on intellectual property...everything from tricorne designs to classical music.

I post this link a lot when talking about MUX.

https://seekingalpha.com/article/4337241-5-gold-and-silver-mining-stocks-for-2020

"Another red flag is high debt at around $50 million. Even with all of these red flags, I do not consider this to be a high-risk stock because they can raise money issuing stock or selling their Los Azules project. Unless gold prices drop below $1,300 and stays there for an extended period of time, this is a company I expect to be around for a long time. The CEO, Rob McEwen, owns 20% of the stock and is one of the best miners in the business. This is his company and I expect him to build it into a Major.

Why be interested in McEwen Mining with all of their red flags? One reason: Rob McEwen. I believe he can build this into at least a 250,000 oz. producer and perhaps more. I don't know if he can build it into a major ($3 billion market cap), but I think he will come close."

Don Durrett is one of the best people in the business. Only a week or two ago, he got Spanish Mountain right directly before it went up 4x. MUX is still only barely above its February high--still ridiculously cheap. Also a heavily shorted stock, so expect a short squeeze soon.

Younger millennial here, in a way I'm glad I got into crypto first. It taught me how to ignore emotions and not let FOMO or panic set in. 50+% crashes felt like nothing after a while.

Last year thanks to /pmg/ I rotated about $50k (half of my crypto) into physical gold/silver and miners. You guys are based and will win in the end.

I still have a positive outlook on select cryptocurrencies, but I also know that they could crash hard with a sudden shock, like govts banning it, etc. However with PMs, I know I'm betting on REAL assets that I can hold in my hands, and know they are massively undervalued. Incredible squeeze on the silver market with September deliveries! 145,451 contracts are up for delivery, each represent 5000ozt, jpmorgan has been stockpiling for a decade and their estimated holdings are only 160m ozt of silver. Will the COMEX need to settle-for-cash when these 726,570,000 ozt are called? We will see in September

I'm buying as soon as it goes back under $20. Give it a few months. A lot of things can happen between now and the election.

True. If McConnell delays relief like he tends to do, deflation could force commodities down.

Yes, silver will go up as the market goes down and people flood to safe havens. Then it'll go down again.

I agree with you. It may pop to $40 this decade, but that'll be for the bagholders.
