$1.4 trillion dollars was added to the debt in the last three months. If the Fed stops QE then the yields increase and the stock market crashes. If the Fed doesn't stop QE the stock market will rise exponentially and we will have hyper inflation. Two different roads to the same outcome: the collapse of fiat.

You're supposed to come to places like /biz/ to learn the shit you won't learn from the controlled media and educational system. Shut the fuck up and read.

I'm making your point, not FUD-ing PMs. You're talking about a collapse of fiat. A chart of historical reserve currency collapses of countries is appropriate for discussing the collapse of the USD and inevitable loss of reserve currency status. My comment was sarcastic and showed that a collapse of the US reserve currency is more than probable.

Gave /biz/ a list of silver junior stocks exactly one month ago which are up, on average, by 100% since then; one stock is up sixfold. (See picture.)

This is your last chance to get in at the bottom. I am telling you this for your own good. I don't want the young people here to keep throwing their lives away on crypto exit scams. This is your one real chance to turn your life around.

How do you invest in precious metals? Very easily. Buy the GDXJ or SILJ ETFs--that is all you have to do. Besides that, my favourite list of small-cap miners is as follows; but bear in mind that you should never put more than 1-3% of your net-worth into a small-cap miner:

Adriatic Metals
Alexco Resource
Almaden Minerals
Argonaut Gold
American Creek Resources
Aurcana Corp
Azimut Exploration
Americas Gold & Silver Corp
Avino Silver & Gold Mines
Bayhorse Silver
Bear Creek Mining
Black Tusk Resources
Bluestone Resources
Bonterra Resources
Callinex Mines
Chesapeake Gold
Defiance Silver
Discovery Metals
Dolly Varden Silver
Endeavour Silver
Euro Sun Mining
Excellon Resources
Fireweed Zinc
Goldquest Mining
Great Panther Mining
Highland Gold Mining
Hochschild Mining
Hummingbird Resources
Irving Resources
Karoka Resources
Kootenay Silver
Lion One Metals
Mako Mining
Marathon Gold
Mirasol Resources
McEwen Mining
Musgrave Metals
Newrange Gold
Nicola Mining
Northern Dynasty Metals
Perseus Mining
Precipitate Gold
Resolute Mining
Sabina Silver & Gold Corp
Silver Lake Resources
Silver One
Spanish Mountain Gold
Tinka Resources
Troilus Gold
Vangold Mining
Viscount Mining
Wallbridge Mining

Of these, my favourites are Discovery Metals, Silver One, Callinex Mines, Euro Sun Mining, Newrange Gold, McEwen Mining, Bluestone Resources, Wallbridge Mining.

See what Don Durrett has to say about MUX, who got Spanish Mountain Gold right just before it went up 4x.

https://seekingalpha.com/article/4337241-5-gold-and-silver-mining-stocks-for-2020

"McEwen Mining has four operating mines in Canada, Nevada, Mexico, and Argentina. In 2019, they will produce about 175,000 oz of gold equivalent. Costs are high, with all-in costs around $1,350 per oz. These high costs are why their share price has not risen. The bad news is they are not likely to decrease costs substantially. So, expect all-in costs per oz to remain above $1,250.

For their FD market cap of $378 million, their resources are not that large. However, they do have considerable exploration potential on their properties. I don’t think their resources will restrict their growth. Black Fox and Grey Fox in Canada appear to be growing in size, with good grades.

Another red flag is high debt at around $50 million. Even with all of these red flags, I do not consider this to be a high-risk stock because they can raise money issuing stock or selling their Los Azules project. Unless gold prices drop below $1,300 and stays there for an extended period of time, this is a company I expect to be around for a long time. The CEO, Rob McEwen, owns 20% of the stock and is one of the best miners in the business. This is his company and I expect him to build it into a Major.

...

Why be interested in McEwen Mining with all of their red flags? One reason: Rob McEwen. I believe he can build this into at least a 250,000 oz. producer and perhaps more. I don't know if he can build it into a major ($3 billion market cap), but I think he will come close."

there an interesting company how have been making money off rerunning mill tailings from some of the mega mines in Capetown and other areas. However South Africa isnt a great place to put money, especially in mining due to constant strikes. Ore theft has also gone bonkers down there. I would keep an eye on them and see if they sell any of the tech or expertise to western companies.

Highly speculative and dangerous, but definitely worth getting into. I am never selling my position. It might become the next FGV. @mackvorkian on https://ceo.ca/spa?70b3de6cdcb5 bought it for nothing years ago, long before anybody else got in, because he knew the potential. He also bought Blackrock Gold for pennies and predicted that it would rise on 12 July. See his posting history for confirmation. He is extremely competent and intelligent. He says this about SPA 7 hours ago:

@mackvorkian "As I have mentioned, the NAV at $1840 Gold is over $1 BILLION DOLLARS. With a present M/C of $106 Million Dollars, and with Eric Sprott in heavy, SPA is a no brainer. Huge upside. For all you newbies, read my past posts."

A lot of these areas have been basically abandoned for decades, but so long as the major underground workings are intact it wouldnt be hard to get going in maybe 5 years? With all the modern regulations on mining and financing these projects things take a lot longer than they did half a century ago. Places like the Comstock lode in Virginia City would be a lot harder, thats deep dangerous ground, but silver values in the 70 ounce per tonne range would drive investment back in for sure.

“Far more money has been lost by investors preparing for corrections, or trying to anticipate corrections, than has been lost in corrections themselves.” - Peter Lynch

I agree that a correction is in no way guaranteed and that a correction could be further down the road correcting to today's prices only, I'm just preparing myself practically with available leverage and psychologically for one. Just looking at Mr. Rule's favorite chart http://www.goldchartsrus.com/chartstemp/free/fchart-BGMI.php we can see the insane volatility of bull markets. But there's a lot of emotional anons who cheer the prices on like a horse race not knowing the fundamentals or volatility, and these are the weak hands who get shaken out as they're unprepared psychologically, and have no conviction

Shit I just can't believe people don't use or believe in TA. It's just going to up your percentage, and throughout a bullmarket will maximise your gains. You don't even have to be an expert, just learn a few indicators and a few highly probable setups. It'll tell you when's likely a good time to sell, and when's likely a good time to buy. Saves a lot of dead money time too.

Thank you for the interesting quotation. You know (I am sure) the Jesse Livermore quotation as well. Dominic Frisby did an excellent video about that lately. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_BD0ehlMLE

Don Durrett says that, in a PM bull market, we should never sell a mining position. He says that, if you want to get the greatest returns, you simply buy and hold.

Rick Rule said, in an interview about a week ago, that a 15-25% pullback in the miners was not unlikely to come soon. But no such pullback occurred. Instead, everything soared. So these really are unprecedented times where even the greatest experts are getting it wrong time and time again. I'm always careful to tell people in these threads to keep only 33-66% of their money in PMs; at least 33% of their money should be held as currency, just in case a pullback does occur. But, as Peter Spina says, gold-investors are so downtrodden and psychologically tortured by the bankers' games that it is very easy to shake them out of their positions. People like Northstar and David Brady have, I am sure, caused people to sell an enormous number of mining positions far too early, and to lose vast quantities of money. They are far too cocksure in their attitudes, and don't qualify their statements, or admit that they might be wrong, nearly to the degree they should. The PM market, as Spina says, is unique. If we really are getting a breakdown in the COMEX and an end to the silver manipulation, then anything might happen now. Fundamentals are more important than TA here.

Yeah I understand that, but I have no intention on cashing out on physical silver through an ETF. That defeats the purpose, which in this case is using capital in a brokerage account to benefit from the rise in silver prices. Regarding physical silver, I prefer to buy bullion directly, and already hold some. Especially when, as has been noted in previous threads, even the funds that are contractually obligated to deliver physical silver on request can, indeed, break said contract in extreme circumstances.

If you are going to buy an ETF for bullion, I beg you again to buy Sprott's one. Don't get SLV. Anybody in PM circles will tell you that it is a scam. It might collapse at any time by this point. The whole reason why silver is soaring right now is because Sprott has stuck the knife into the ponzi-scheme. It would take me an age to explain all the evidence to you. Look into Arcadia Economics on Youtube, and Chris Marcus's book "The Big Silver Short."

Be right and sit tight is absolutely key, it's good to have that reminder. In my positions, I've got roughly 85% of my assets just hodling, whereas the last 10-15% I do move around when I see great opportunities, like lately when I moved that 15% into the silver space.

It really is possible that we have no breakdowns until we reach a higher phase, as if you think about it, we've just been through a brutal bear market and generally speaking most of the hands holding are true gold and silver believers, those who understand the fundamentals and macro behind the value of PMs in our current environment. Those in the know would never exit their positions greatly until we 3-10x from this point. Any pullbacks are being bought currently. It may not be until generalist speculators pile in that we'll see true volatility. I won't even think about selling till gold hits 7000$ in TODAY's nominal value.

Sure Schlomo. Is it going to be a fake endangered species (like Golden Queen in Mojave) or are they going to hire an Indian tribe to sue.

Sounds like you can cash out if you have 50k shares, and institutions that can afford to would be willing to buy up other investors shares to cash out the silver if that was financially wise at the time.

The major benefit of SLV is the ability to purchase call options on it. I'm making a killing on January calls at the moment. I certainly don't plan to hold it for a decade. That's what my bullion stack is for.

You can do call options on something like First Majestic instead. Acts as a useful proxy for silver.

Interesting, the sprott ETFs were what schwab let you trade without transaction fees, back before they all became fee-less. Are you saying slv is based on futures contracts and not physical?

My silver was bought at 100:1 ratio.

Most people think it will only go back down to 40:1. Even if you just trade it back into gold, you made 2x profit on the ratio alone, not to mention price.
Personally I'm waiting for it to over correct below 15:1, if it gets below 10:1 I'm trading my whole stack. If it gets that low, you're making 10x your money.

So 2,000oz silver, instead of 20oz's of gold in todays ratio price.
Trade the whole stack at 10:1 and you have 200oz's of gold.
