>Sterling silver contains 92.5% silver. The rest is copper or some other metal. It is used for jewellery and silver tableware, where appearance is important.

>Silver is used to make mirrors, as it is the best reflector of visible light known, although it does tarnish with time. It is also used in dental alloys, solder and brazing alloys, electrical contacts and batteries. Silver paints are used for making printed circuits.

>Silver bromide and iodide were important in the history of photography, because of their sensitivity to light. Even with the rise of digital photography, silver salts are still important in producing high-quality images and protecting against illegal copying. Light-sensitive glass (such as photochromic lenses) works on similar principles. It darkens in bright sunlight and becomes transparent in low sunlight.

>Silver has antibacterial properties and silver nanoparticles are used in clothing to prevent bacteria from digesting sweat and forming unpleasant odours. Silver threads are woven into the fingertips of gloves so that they can be used with touchscreen phones.

Been posting this a lot, but I want to help you guys out.

I'm a high level salesperson at a privately-owned govtech company that regularly competes against giants in this field (MSI, TYL).

TYL is going to be announcing that they've won a bid for the entire state of South Carolina to begin using their case management system Odyssey. The deal was finalized just before the quarter ended. They've also landed significant deals in the following states: Kansas, Virginia, Nevada, Texas (Dallas County), and DC.

Illinois will be going with MSI for an integrated law enforcement solution. They've also made gains in Massachusetts, California, and Missouri.

I'll get fired if I buy stock in either company, but this is news I personally know and/or have been told by colleagues at these companies. Enjoy.

On 17/07/20 I recommended the following stocks to /pmg/: >>20448697 >>20448722. All of them are up substantially since then. From yesterday alone, the figures are:

Adriatic Metals: Flat
Aurcana Corp: +20%
Great Panther Mining: +9%
Bear Creek Mining: +11.4%
Hochschild Mining: +1.35%
Silver One: +13.64%
Discovery Metals: +7%
Bluestone Resources: -1.2%
Euro Sun Mining: +6.7%
Bonterra Resources: -1.4%
Spanish Mountain Gold: -4.4%
Precipitate Gold: + 4.17%
Fireweed Zinc: +6.7%
Bayhorse Silver: +4%
McEwen Mining: +8.4%
Wallbridge Mining: +2%

Mean increase: 6%

Compared with

SILJ: +2.84%
Dow Jones: +0.60%

I continue to believe in every one of them. Wallbridge Mining, McEwen Mining, Fireweed Zinc, and Euro Sun Mining, are the most undervalued. Expect them to rise substantially today.

The list of stocks which I recommended to /biz/ on 22/06/20 (exactly one month ago) has since doubled. One is up sixfold.

Gold has almost never been so undervalued as it is right now, silver has almost never been so undervalued compared to gold, and the miners compared either to silver or gold. GDXJ should be 3x higher to be at the same level as it was when gold was $1900 in 2011. The miners are the opportunity of the century.

Yes. Will repeat here what I said elsewhere: "In the 70s, the Hunt Brothers tried to fight against the manipulated fiat system, and temporarily exposed the true price of silver. Gold-silver ratio returned to its historically normal level--1:15. The Hunt Brothers were then persecuted and bankrupted for their pains. Eric Sprott is now brave enough to try to do the same thing again, which is why silver is suddenly up 10%."

If I was American I would unironically collect pennies and coins with copper in it.

There's very good chances prices of copper will skyrocket. The talk about melting down coins for copper because their face value drops below metal value may very well be real. Pair that with INSANE money printing, inevitable inflation kicking in and you're going to be making mad shekels off physical metal. 1 copper penny will produce 5-10 pennies worth of metal.

Arguing about fiat, crypto and gold is dumb because they serve different purposes. Gold is a store of value, fiat is a medium of exchange, and crypto is an emerging field of technology. None of them will replace the others unless something truly apocalyptic happens.

But if gold is going up, I'm going to use that to turn my fiat into more fiat. So eventually I can drive something that isn't a Fiat.

Metals are useless. Have you ever considered that fiat currency is now so ingrained in the minds of modern society, $1 will always equal $1 no matter what "It's backed by"? How do you think the government got away with "Hey everybody, here's $1,200 for free"? Bread didn't spike to $2,000,000 like these "economists" speculated. This isn't the post-frontier-industrial era, hardly any normal wagie gives a fuck about the underlying mechanics of money. They just want to be capable of paying for the necessities, no matter what wealth is measured by. If you gave any normal retard $1m in gold bars, they would instantly convert a large portion (if not all) of it into cash, and there will always be people like this, and more people are born and indoctrinated into the system every day.

Metal investing is just heavyweight stamp collecting. Lecture all you want about "muh real value!" but idgaf as long as I make it. We could be trading jars of diarrhea as currency and I wouldn't fucking care as long as I have enough diarrhea jars to live a comfortable life.

Silver rally is only just beginning. Get in now. To repeat what I said before, "Gold has almost never been so undervalued as it is right now, silver has almost never been so undervalued compared to gold, and the miners compared either to silver or gold. GDXJ should be 3x higher to be at the same level as it was when gold was $1900 in 2011. The miners are the opportunity of the century." >>20567986

Interactive Brokers and others will allow you to buy foreign stocks. Besides, I have bought almost every single one of my miners on the FRA, with extremely low volume, and my positions are up manifold. Don't miss the opportunity of a lifetime for a petty detail. Either pay the asking price if you think that the stock is about to shoot up imminently (I did this yesterday, before the American markets opened, early on the FRA, and made much profit than had I waited with bids, or bought them on the Toronto Stock Exchange), or find the price on the original exchange, do a currency conversion, and bid for that patiently. Besides, GDXJ/SILJ are listed on the NYSE, as are MUX and LIO.

Now this is a real concern. I'd actually argue that the US never actually recovered from the 2008 GFC which is why anxiety about wage stagnation and job displacement increased. The stock market was just fine though and drove that economic inequality gap harder.
Corporate profits plateau'd in 2016 and a lot of CEO resignations were because they couldn't match their stock valuations. I think if the trend continues the other inflationary asset, commodities, gets to see some of that windfall for once.
