I may be a newfag but why isn’t this making waves on /biz/??
An apparent competitor to link that has doubled in a week..and here we have radio silence? I don’t understand.
I get how this board is in a lot of cases all in with link (including myself as a 200 stack linklet) but shit, man.
$14 is a hell of an entry point, yes.
But what if this actually keeps mooning?
Also where in the fuck can it be bought?

Uniswap. Bought a small stack last month when there were some anons shilling it here. Pretty comfy +111%

Name 30 projects that have pledged to use Tellor Oracles.
I'll wait.
Meanwhile, if you'd like, I can name 226 that have pledged to use chainlink oracles.

Just another anon trying to make it..
All I want is some supplemental meme $’s to help feed my flying addiction.

Why has tellor been kicking the hell out of link then?

Yes, dozens of projects and companies have chainlink implementations either live on mainnet or in active development on testnet. Tellor and all the other chainlink wannabes are pumping exactly because of people like you who think a latecomer knockoff will dethrone chainlink. It is "eth killers" all over again. You can buy it on any eth based dex like Uniswap if you want to chase pumps instead of buying the core of the 4th industrial revolution. I hold about $300 worth of Tellor as a hedge, and over $300k of chainlink. Threads like this are made every single day asking why nobody is excited about a knockoff riding on chainlink's coattails.

>> No.20494423

Protocols of this nature tend to be winner talk all and Tellor's Proof of Mining is extremely expensive with a small amount of data on chain. Aka it doesn't scale well, and also enterprises are already choosing link. It's very unlikely tellor wins in the long run. You'd know this if you were smart enough to own even a suicide stack but you're just a nulinker

Last month Tellor had a few shill threads per day which prompted me to look into the project. I documented my findings in pic related. I ended up buying around 150 TRB for ~$8 which netted me some nice profit (buying on idex is pretty easy).

TRB is now approaching my $25MM marketcap prediction, but since writing that Chainlink (and thus the whole DeFi/Oracle ecosystem) has grown significantly so that prediction should be seen as the lower bound for this run. I still stand by my point that Tellor is an inferior product to Chainlink and is lightyears behind in terms of usage and networking, but will probably pump on oracle hype alone. I'm looking to offload my little bag in the $20-$30 range.

>> No.20494498

Oracles are going to be winner take all.

If you are setting up a product that needs oracles you're going to want to go with the network that has more oracles with larger amounts of collateral staked and more, better quality data.

There are many competitors to bitcoin that have mostly failed despite being technologically superior. This is due to Bitcoin's network effect.

With Chainlink competitors not only are they fighting against the network effect but they are also technologically inferior to Chainlink.

Chainlink itself is still speculative vaporware, this whole space is and if you deny that get the fuck off biz because we're here to make money not wank off the tech. Winner take all is irrelevant when no one actually knows how much this entire shitshow should be valued at, and need I remind you that many ETH killers are worth hundreds of millions in marketcap regardless of the fact that they will never beat ETH. Tech is irrelevant and based on how tiny tellors marketcap is and the general oracle hype it will outperform Link by multiple, multiple magnitudes. Enjoy your 3 billion marketcap "hidden gem" while TRB pumps from $5 to $200

>> No.20494733

I'd rather trust in someone like Vitalik than a rando m biztard. Even if there is truly not, there is always room in the market for competition. people not realizing trb is a trading opportunity is pathetic. people who don't make these types of trade don't like money. they will hold a project to the ground .

>> No.20494735

>>20494575
Tellor is hoping to release their V2 upgrade in mid august, so it will probably be slowly pumping until then (if market sentiment as a whole remains bullish). You're probably looking at a "sell the news" event when V2 hits, though.

Ironically he'll make much, much more than you for investing in Tellor. But enjoy your 226 projects, at the end of the year do a quick comparison of the gains Link has made and what Tellor has made. I'll save you the trouble and screengrab this thread so I can personally show how retarded the link cult has become that they even ignore infinitely better trades

>Chainlink itself is still speculative vaporware

That's not really true though. There is about $1.5 billion dollars locked up in chainlink powered smart contracts through DeFi alone, and that number is growing very rapidly.

We're here to make money but buying into things like Band or Tellor which have a good chance of never amounting to any real adoption is pretty speculative.

TRB/BAND could have some great gains, they could also dump hard since there is nobody actually using them.

Another big difference between chainlink and tellor is that chainlink is something you can comfortably go all in with, whereas Tellor it would be foolish to put more than 5-10% of your stack in.
