Anon, you dont measure the value of silver/gold in dollars.

You measure the value of dollars in PM's

If you have enough PM's to come out the other side alive and fed, Im calling that past the suicide stack level, making more fiat on the transaction does not even factor into it (although I have traded PM's for fiat at highs so that I can get more fiat/land)

also you should get better buyers if you are not getting spot value for generic shit and spot + a buck or two for nicer stuff.

Gold and silver only PRESERVE purchasing power. You don't buy them to get rich, you buy them to stay rich.

They're not gonna moon (in real terms) like your shitcoins. They might moon in purely nominal terms because the dollar is tanking, but

YOU WILL STILL NEED 100+ OZ OF GOLD TO BUY A HOUSE

If gold/silver does their job correctly, you will be able to buy just as much food/shelter/whatever in 5 years that you would be able to buy today. Yes, maybe a little bit more. Maybe even a 2x or so in purchasing power if we're lucky and you're able to time the market. But precious metals do not "moon".

Any other gold prospectors here? I live in the 209 in commiefornia but I have a claim up past highway 49 on the motherload, ive been just using a sluicebox for the past 6 years and get good gold sometimes with hard work, 40 homedepo buckets full of dirt would get me at most 3 grams on a good day so with the potential precious metals backed currency coming i bought my first non cheapo metal detector, (gold monster 1000) anyone have good luck metal detecting for gold?

that would be assuming PM's are not undervalued, which they most certainly are.

It would also be assuming that houses are not OVER valued, which they are.

The point I made about PM's being a measure of value went right over your head... you are thinking in dollar terms, not PM terms still.

Housing prices will fall 30-75% in the next 10 years or less.

In 1800 a huge mansion of a house house cost 8000.

Adjusted for inflation that is 160, 000

Ok so I need 88 oz of gold to have a huge ass mansion made of the finest materials money can buy.

One acre in a tract of land of over 400 acres cost $2.00 (Sumter, SC, 1823)

44 bucks an acre adjusted for inflation

on average, even if you buy 300-400 acres at a time, its 4000$ to buy one acre now.

Everything is a bubble other than gold and silver.

Once the dollar collapses and it will. The entire globe is going to get screwed. Every inflated bubble will pop and all the wealth that was will have to go through a key hole into gold and silver causing the purchasing power include all that formal wealth. It isn’t only a store of value it is the only store of value that is real. This inflated fake and gay system is about to collapse and barely anyone knows about gold let alone silver.

It won’t be chink paper bucks, it won’t be pounds, it won’t be bitcoin, or link. It will be Gold and silver. Whoever holds that will se the moon mission of the century.

Unfortunately I think when this happens a large majority of the population will probably starve to death world wide. The elites benefit because that’s what they want, they also hold large amounts of gold and silver so they will be fine. The paper market keeps silver down and we may see that implode in September. Don’t doubt what has been money for millennia because debt based fiat has existed for a hundred years. Chose the proven and only method of wealth and the one item that can represent Labor the best is PM’s

How many people think brrrrrrrrrrrr will devalue the dollar and inflation will cause PMs to moon?

How many people think that borrowers are overleveraged and we are entering a deflationary period?

It seems like many posters ITT combine the 2 above scenarios into an incomprehensible future where all the bubbles pop while at the same time the dollar is also dying.

Thought I would share with >>20433757 and the rest of you a list of small-cap mining stocks which are still likely to do well this year. Most of these have not run too far yet, and still have the potential to double, triple, or quadruple. GDXJ and SILJ are excellent, but are mostly comprised of mid-tiers. Bear in mind that all the following are high-risk and high-reward.

Adriatic Metals – Looking to become a major mining company in the Balkans. CEO will not be bought out on principle. Interview on Crux Investor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hdg0HcQtg0

Aurcana Corp – Extremely leveraged to the price of silver. On Don Durrett’s top 10 silver miners list.

https://seekingalpha.com/article/4315151-10-best-silver-mining-stocks-for-2020

Ditto Great Panther Mining, Bear Creek Mining, Hochschild Mining, Silver One. (Silver One is a favourite choice of Keith Neumeyer from First Majestic.)

Discovery Metals – Eric Sprott owns 20% of the company. Has some of the best silver deposits in the world. Interview with CEO on Crux Investor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OD87y0SljK8

Bluestone Resources – Gold miner just getting going. Run by a highly respected mining family; has excellent potential. Interview with Arcadia Economics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJvKdNSI5xU

Euro Sun Mining – Holds the second-largest gold deposit in Europe. Now has a licence from the Romanian government to go ahead with the project. Recommended by Drew Stegman. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IG3lX324zO8

Bonterra Resources – Extremely cheap and undervalued right now. Recommended by Allan Barry. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eu32cLgr2go

Spanish Mountain Gold – Recommended a few days ago by Don Durrett. Only just invested in by Eric Sprott. Up 30% today. https://seekingalpha.com/article/4358465-spanish-mountain-gold-exciting-gold-development-story

Precipitate Gold – Located in the Dominican Republic. Could go up ten times if it finds something. Very competent management team. Recommended by Dave Kranzler. Interview with CEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RybOzVvAfTo

Fireweed Zinc – Zinc explorer. Has some of the best zinc deposits in the world; also has much silver and lead. Extremely undervalued. Kept down only by some temporary set-backs. Stock is beginning to go up on announcement of drilling. Interview with CEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGac8962zbk

Bayhorse Silver – Extremely cheap. Could move very far and very fast once the silver bull market gets underway. Interview with Lobo Tiggre: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zApsclnlTA

McEwen Mining – Highly undervalued right now. The company of one of the most remarkable and respected people in the mining industry, Rob McEwen. Recommended by Don Durrett. https://seekingalpha.com/article/4337241-5-gold-and-silver-mining-stocks-for-2020 “Why be interested in McEwen Mining with all of their red flags? One reason: Rob McEwen. I believe he can build this into at least a 250,000 oz. producer and perhaps more. I don't know if he can build it into a major ($3 billion market cap), but I think he will come close.”

Wallbridge Mining – An Eric Sprott investment.

story is, the crypto holder was bragging about his fat stacks for some reason. So his crypto richness was basically public. well a small group of violent criminals quietly descend upon his home or wherever he was staying, when was alone and unaware, then proceeded to chop off his fingers until he disclosed the crypto keys to them and facilitated a transfer.
they prob already had a plan for a network of sequential transactions to shift and hide the stolen crypto

long story short he lost his fingers, lost the crypto and the bad guys got away.

i could have sworn ive heard of similar stories like this happening to other heavy crypto baggers, idk how much truth there really is in all the stories. i never researched it but seems quite plausible

as i could see PMs being potentially easy to sell, difficult to trace, even melt and resell if they want, seems a likely target for criminals to hit when ever they feel desperate the days

But that's only if you also believe things like gold/silver being extremely undervalued relative to metrics like M2 money supply, or if you think that S&P500 P/E of 27 is "expensive".

Literally every traditional economic metric says that real estate and stocks are bubbled as fuck, while commodities (and metals) are undervalued.

Owning silver mining stocks isn't diversifying away from silver, all it's doing is amplifying your risk.

If you want to diversify away from holding silver, you need to either buy other commodities (like oil, wheat, corn), hold cash, or buy stocks in some other industry (like healthcare).

I really cant get into specifics without giving away my own OPSEC. But its always the same story, someone gets careless and gets B+E'd, or tortured or a family member gets taken hostage. People will shoot, bomb, stab, mace, ect ect at armed guards so even hard targets are not immune, often that just means they KNOW you have something worth protecting. Op sec is no joke, dont fucking tell anyone what you have, even a couple K has been enough temptation for the scummies out there. Make sure you own a firearm and know how to use it. Make sure you have enough security to give yourself 30-60 seconds during a break in to get to that firearm. Guard dogs are fucking expensive, but worth every penny.

"International Tower Hill Mines is up 225% in the past 20 trading days.

The company's valuation is now quite stretched, given that the stock is trading for more than 2x P/NAV, based on a $165 M After-Tax NPV (5%) at $1,500/oz gold prices.

Meanwhile, the stock is hitting extreme overbought levels above the US$1.60 level.

Based on the valuation getting frothy with a near parabolic rally the past 10 days, I believe investors would be wise not to chase the stock here."

If you buy the GDXJ or SILJ, you will make a five or tenfold increase on your money without having to put in a moment's effort. Those encompass the mid-tier gold and silver miners. When it comes to small caps, simply follow the most trusted analysts. Rick Rule, Taylor Dart, Don Durrett, Dave Kranzler, David Erffle, Lobo Tiggre, are people to put your utmost confidence in. Mining Stock Education, Palisade Radio, Crux Investor, The Independent Speculator, are excellent Youtube channels. A selection of stocks from Durrett's three lists of favourite mining stocks for 2020 will make anybody rich:

Yeah. Spot price IMO lags behind retail price.
I remember during the March crash when spot silver was $12, you couldn't buy an ounce anywhere for less than $25.

Think of it this way. The spot price of silver is the price of a 5,000 oz bar of silver divided by 5,000. That's not the same thing as the price of a 1 oz bar of silver.

I know someone who does this as a hobby and by their estimation they extracted about 1 ozt from about $ 1200 worth of used SIM cards, but my guess is he didn't factor in some of the other costs associated with the chemicals (not that they are that expensive). If you can get a cheap, large supply of nitric acid you should be able to do it. Be prepared for large quantities of waste.

>>20458167
there are people that do make money at it, but it can be really dangerous if you fuck up. Also having a constant stream of old computer material to process becomes challenging. I know you can buy PCC card edges on ebay by the pound but I have no idea if thats profitable or not.

Yeah that's what he end up doing. Bought a bunch of nitrates, acidified them in sulfuric acid and distilled the HNO3 from that. It's easy if you know what you're doing but as >>20458210 said it can be dangerous.

Please do not by some nitric acid off a chemistry grad student, and try to do home brew gold extractions. You need the concentrated stuff, which will fuck you up. It also constantly releases vapors, which will fuck up the metal cabinet you need to store it in. You will also need to store it separately from anything it may oxidize unless you like fire. But the worst part will be dealing with the waste. Aside from the fact that the waste liquid will be strongly acidic, it will be full of metals, and if you dump that shit on the ground somewhere you'll have killed everything on that patch of dirt for the next few decades.

If you're going to be a retard and do home chemistry, at least have proper acid waste containers, and have a treatment facility you can bring them to.

Hey great posts, always nice to see someone else's recommendations. I've been pushing Aurcana recently too, they've been flagging since late May's silver moves and haven't reacted in my opinion to the previous month's big silver move yet. Big chance they'll break out of the channel soon, and the property they're in is fantastic too. Production to begin in late 2020 I believe. I'm buying this stock on monday.

A relatively risky with comparison to other royalty companies stock is Osisko Gold royalties, who've been punished very harshly for their purchase of Barkerville Goldmines last year, but if their project can drum out some good news this stock has a lot to run. Since the March lows, this company has been amongst the top performers in the royalty sector, but they're still down significantly compared to others since the Barkerville deal. Lots of upside potential with risk added. Pan Man says he's spoken with the new management who seem ready to tackle the project the old team screwed up.

It's pretty late to get into GoldX, but they're still a good stock and acquisition target. Problem is they're up like 70% in 60 days, and 175% since march. With numbers like that in our current gold miner bull market you have better upside potential with something like GoldMining, Lumina Gold, to name two random ones. I would've thanked you if you recommended this stock in april lmao.

Ausfag Industrial Supply Chain guy here. Things are really bad in Australia and NZ mining right now, all orders for industrial mining equipment have dried up, we are laying guys off left and right and shutting plants down.

Shit for us, but if the meme that most silver is a byproduct of mining other minerals is true, then it means that the supply of silver will be drying up quite a bit.

Robert Friedland just came on board at $2.50ish.
Undervalued asset. More undervalued than GoldMining. Sold GoldMining.
Paul Matysek and team just got in about 8 months ago. Gold bull market barely getting started.

Just got rid of all debt. Stock has been going down for 2 weeks. Getting ready for next leg up.

But you do you.

Depends, do you want to do the math on how manny NaOH pellets you got from the pool supply store you'll need to add to the half liter of 9M acid you have? Here's a protip: when you mix fresh water into acid or base solutions, they get really hot. When you mix acid and base solutions together, they also get really hot. So always add the acid/base to the water you want to dilute it with to avoid death-steam, and don't mix a fuck ton at once in a container that may melt or shatter.

any info on which sectors have stopped buying equipment? I see coal mining in Australia has been hit hard, and many of Reo Tinto's iron mines are gearing down for planned upgrades. I dont see anything about gold / silver / copper mining going down.

>> No.20459160

I'm sorry PAN MAN, desu I don't know which mines or miners we sell to, just that demand for mining equipment domestically has dropped off a cliff. It's all real long lead time stuff so it's possible they're just too afraid to order right now and it will pick back up later, but this is as dramatic as I've ever seen it.

Yea it could be that companies dont think its a good time to buy new gear at the moment. I know the drilling and technical service companies here in BC as well as Alberta got hammered because of covid and are only just really starting to get back in shape.

I'm not denying it's a good stock, but I'm just comparing upside potential and risk. We're at the throw a dart phase where any decent gold stock is going to rise, but I don't like buying things that've gone parabolic very recently. For the record I hold both GoldX and Goldmining, and have pushed for both of them. They both have 0 debt and are undervalued. The charts look good, but I personally am going to add to my other gold positions before GoldX, but will look to add to my position during a larger gold dip, which I see coming. I was just poking at the other anon who said thank me later after recommending a stock that has gone 180% in 100 days instead of before.
