Im going to take this advice as the longer strike durations are better (within reason).

My broker has some stuff packaged in like Morningstar and similar. I don't use any of it aside from the news feed. I don't find it helpful for the way I trade. It doesn't seem to be particularly helpful for long hodl approach either. Morningstar is very fond of heavily basing its ratings on what it determines to be fair value, which in practice has little or zero correlation with the price action of any given stock.

The right time usually is when there is a clear and strong tendency, and volume is high (for example 30 to 40 minutes after market open for ETFs like SPY).

I mean, I bought 100 shares of WKHS at $8. I could have cut and run @ $20, but I just keep putting sell calls for $23. I get $230 up front, and then it just sits there for a month and the call expires. Then I put it up again and make another quick $200. Essentially what I said, except more firmly. Whatever indicators you use are inversely as strong as the amount of specificity they have. Trends are just that, and so the closer you examine them the more deviation from the norm you find. Same thing with smaller timescales. If you day/swingtrade with it like I do, be prepared to abandon the trend and anticipate a reversal at pre-determined support/resistance levels. For longer horizons, news and the general market sentiment always trump TA in the longterm anyway, except in special circumstances, but it can be helpful to find a time to properly act.

With everything that is going on (possible returns to lockdowns in the US, week economic data today), and taking in count that the stock market is a forward looking indicator. Whats the best sector to get into?

Running SPAQ stock (bought today) and CCXX+ (CCXX warrants) bought today at 2.25 a pop. Even if CCXX+ only ends up at 10 dollars (unlikely, will probably be at least 20) then that's still a great gain. It'll probably do that by November when the merger is complete. SPAQ has been closely tied to the rest of the EV stocks and they've been eating shit for the last few days. The news of it joining Fisker was too late to catch most of the EV pump but that may not be over just yet. There is still runs of room left for EV stocks to run up, but what is unclear is when it will happen. They may not move until there's another catalyst, maybe the TSLA earnings beat coming July 22nd but a lot of that has been priced in. If it doesn't pump by then I think the wait will be much longer.

I like SPAQ with an entry at this price, I think it has a good risk reward ratio but so far I've just been getting burned by it.

Very few people would rather have a Fisker Ocean than a Model Y. They did well to steal some of the design elements from Tesla, the minimalist dash, the retracted door handles, but I doubt it will become serious competition. Their technology is much worse than Tesla, they don't do much in house and they are trying to partner with companies that also don't beat Tesla. Keep in mind that it won't be out until 2022.

The traditional car companies outsource everything but the engine and some other parts. So their actual knowhow and capabilities aren't actually all that good for EV. Whereas Tesla is highly vertically integrated.

So the actual "we know cars and can do EV easy" shit is a farce. EV have everything different including how the AC works and tons of other shit. So it's not an easy switch.

Anyway, the other half of the problem is selling to customers. Tesla has a massive advantage here and possibly their biggest advantage aside from software/tech under the hood. They drive demand and can sell direct.

The problem here is that dealerships in general do everything to not sell an EV because they make jack shit on it in maintenance theoretically, and that's how they make most money.

I don't agree with Tesla stock price though, but aside from stock price the company is very well positioned and will probably end up with a large market share of EV in the future.

The only thing I would add is that some automakers have worked out agreements with dealerships where the car is ordered online and then only picked up there so the margin gap could be much smaller than comparing Tesla to a traditional dealership model.
