Boomer rocks are not for me. They may be shiny, but what they lack is inherent value.
They are not programmable, and not anonymous to use. This makes them a pain to handle. Sure, you can leave the computer on 24/7 to send messages to BOOMer, but what if that one break in the factory led you to miss a price announcement on inventory, or an update to the web site? Can you sleep if the computer is on 24/7 for that long? Well, that's not possible

That's a good idea, but do the math to make sure it's actually cheaper than a mailbox rental.
Looks like it's $10/month which is cheaper than a mailbox, but that just gets you receiving/tracking/online pics. They charge shipping to forward it to you.
If a mailbox is $15/month, it might be a better deal depending on how much shipping is vs gas to drive to Indiana.
Or you could do the best of both worlds--
Use Postscanmail to receive it in Indiana, and get pics/online stuff, and then drive to go pick it up. If a mailbox is $15/month, you're saving $5/month, which adds up to more ozs.

Naked silver shorts are panicking like hell right now. Every dollar above 20 that the spot price rises to translates to 500 million in losses by the big banks that play the market rigging games. Watch the current volume for September 2020 and the 2021 prior settle numbers on the cme website fluctuate if you want to understand why they're so spooked.
Long story short: big banks rig the price of metal, if it goes too far up those banks collapse.

Yes and no. Whoever actually has physical metal in their possession makes obscene amounts of money. Naked silver shorts are people who own short positions in paper silver but have no physical metal to back up what they would otherwise own. The problem is, paper to physical is 172:1 right now. Which means that the number of dollars that have been paid for paper ownership of real metal is one hundred and seventy-two times the number of dollars worth of real metal that currently exist.

Silver is very volatile, even more so during what is fast becoming a currency crisis. What we have is a lot of things working at once: huge demand, driven both by stackers and industries starting back up, fucked up supply because rona, all the various fiats are in the beginning of a death spiral, so there are large spreads in how much PM's move in each currency. IE gold lost 14 USD today, but lost 7 CAD. normalized in the same currency, to buy an oz of gold in the us cost 19$ less CAD vs 7 CAD in canada. IE Yanks lost more buying power, which is why last week I was saying you have a built in "dip" to grab more PM's dollar for dollar due to strong USD.

All the fiats are going down, the movement is erratic, uneven between all of them as well.

This death spiral combined with demand, rona, civil unrest sparking massive speculation, helicopter money, I would expect large and sharp fluctuations in PM's to be the norm for some time.

Today was the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

Our Lady promised to whomever wheres the brown scapular faithfully shall not suffer the fires of hell in the consecration/induction into the brown scapular society. There is also the promise reduction of time in purgatory.

Doubles or not Our Lady this day, the Ever Virgin Mother of God, Mary Most Pure has called us to be with her in loving God helping us in all God's mercy, love, & justice to come into the fold of the Brown Scapular.

Blessed be Mary Mother of God & by her Immaculate Conception save our souls, make us pure & Holy like her.

How there does this all relate to silver?
She, the Virgin Mary, is the Seat of Wisdom & full of grace. Our Lady who is full of grace then in logic conclusion, traditional title, & church doctrine Immaculate Spouse of the Holy Ghost - totally one - which is the essence of marriage.

May our Lady with Holy St. Joseph, most prudent, guide in wisdom those who have seen the writing on the wall like that of book of Daniel, the workers of antiquities where we but turn our eyes to God in his guidance.

Perhaps the stackers among us are called to do just this...turn to God with Our Holy Mother as our advocate where upon she may guide us with what we need in unison with the will of God.

Ave Maria.

They won't just let go of normal people's dept. If you are a big corporation that makes actual things with utility and took on 10B$ dept to post fake growth numbers, the owners will probably let the debt inflate away.
If you are a normal person they sure as hell will come for that 40k$ even if the toiletpaper-money system ends and a new one starts, they would just rebase your debt into that system. If you were a good debtcattle and kept paying through the crisis they might offer some meaningless "discounts" to appreciate your servitude.
Also your idea implies that wages will inflate at the same rate as the debt payments do, which I don't see happening.

Funny, I was thinking of dropping $200 actually on them actually. I also thought that, like you both, that the gold/silver mines are only going to become more valuable if we continue down the inflation path or if the Trump administration pulls off the gold standard to cripple the FEDS.

The $200 wont do much even if we collapse as a civilization anyway. Again, its like biting a bullet. I'm just trying to foster a delayed pleasure response in finances or rather prudent patient heart.

Maybe purchasing such stocks can indeed foster that.

the only way this would work is if they pulled all the dollars out of circulation, making it impossible to repay your mortgage, and opening the door for the mortgage to be repaid in something else. the alternative is the bank takes the house, because the homeowner can't come up with any dollars, so the homeowner agrees to the new mortgage terms. but if you have the physical cash, and walk into your bank, i think they'd have to take it.

To each their own.
Its going to one be cheaper most of the time, but some people just may like silver more or think its more durable or something. Buying gold isn't as under the radar either. You can pass silver off as stainless steel or something in public incase of a confrontation I guess.

Sterling silver purchasing is only good for pennies on the dollar to smelt down for your own use or sending out to a forge. I know local people who do that & make small profit. I've never seen any cheap silver jewelry either. It will not be useful in post-colapse. You may pull a good profit if you buy something cheap now & send off to a forge to sell as opposed to 1 - 4 years ago where its actually considered junky.

You're better off purchasing pure silver while it lasts.

DESU I find that recently, junk is often more expensive than the cheaper new coins like Phillies and Silver Krugs. So on terms of stacking practicality, I’m not sure old coins are really that good a deal in terms of cold metal for cash. Especially when a lot of the old coins were lighter than their modern counterparts. e.g. a Kennedy half dollar has only 0.36oz of silver, so really you need three of them to get an ounce of silver and three of them are definitely more expensive than a new 1oz coin.

Don’t get me wrong I still love them and buy them, a lot. I just get the impression they’re not really especially cheap anymore. Which is a shame, but ah well...
