Another good update is that the migration to the new staking pools was finalized smoothly, nobody had to do anything and in this way we will have low withdrawal fees even if ethereum is congested.

There's going to be an update on the consensus fix but there is no announcement. Patricio's update to ftp stated that they are still doing theoretical research and debating whether or not to change consensus algorithms.

Yeah that's something that might/should be clarified in the next updates. Patricio was mainly addressing his "investigation" in the reddit post to explain the lack of commits in the public repository, so maybe at the moment their work is more practical than theoretical with respect to a few months ago. Hard to tell since their progress on the consensus is not 100% open source.
