Simplified example:

1) Node operator A offers oracles that feed data X. This data is used in industry Z.

2) Node operator A experiments with the pricing for the data they offer, while talking to several small innovative startups in industry Z. 3) This market price offers a good risk adjusted opportunity for small, innovative firms in industry Z. It also allows node operator A to be in business.

4) ACME is one of the largest companies in industry Z. As expected, they have a rigid corporate structure with many stakeholders, and very low risk tolerance, so they cannot justify the potential savings they would incurr if they used smart contracts fed with data X from node operator A. Not at the market price anyway. The prospect is too risky for the relatively minor potential reduction in costs.

5) Chainlink can then engage in conversations with ACME, offering LINK at a discount for them to carry out proof of concepts and trials at a reduced cost. They basically offer a trial subsidy. If the price of accessing the data is lowered by a certain amount, ACME can test the technology with very reduced risk.

While there are people and institutions that evaluate crypto, it’s not heavily regulated in the way traditional markets are, nor is there an equivalent world of journalism and academics built up around it to turn to. You basically have to really do your own research. But it’s not hard to visit a crypto’s web page. Read it’s white paper, or see what people are saying about it. You want to look at the team, any possible partnerships with bigger tech companies, and for a realistic use case. But as far as target prices and earnings, well this market is still way too speculative for that.

Chainlink is a meme started by 4chan to lead people to financial ruin. Don't let your saved wealth be thrown away over night.Vitalik the creator of ethereum said himself the days of making x1000 or x10000 are over, that right the guy who created the second most popular crypto said those days are over.
Now 4chan is trying to get people to lose even more money after the 2018 bloodbath. Chainlink is a specialized collection of Oracles, companies don't need this. They will just create their own private blockchains with Link network(token not needed). Sergey himself already said that LINK tokens arent needed to use the network. thats right. it's still unclear when and how the LINK token will be used if private networks are an option, and not to mention the massive allocation of LINK not locked up but in dev control (2/3 of supply).There is no need for tokens if chainlink isn't even needed to run the nodes.
