That's how much physical silver is supposed to trade hands in september. Remember, the futures market only generates obscene amounts of money as long as nobody actually takes physical delivery. JP Morgan lost 20% of their silver stash which they have been accumulating since 2012 in a single month. The comex has turned into a delivery mechanism due to arbitrage opportunities existing when they can get deliveries from the Comex at spot price then immediately sell silver with a slight premium on the open market.

They are allowing the price to rise so the flood of contracts standing for delivery will stop.

Not silver, gold. China previously was the world's #1 gold producer and #2 gold buyer (india being number #1)
No gold going into Shanghai Gold Exchange is a big fucking deal for their economy as those deals either get done elsewhere (i.e. goes to the West to be traded instead) or gets held in storage until an opportunity presents itself such as COMEX abitrage
Keep in mind those chinks just had to admit to the world they were backing loans with gold bars made of copper and tungsten LMAO

My honest expectation is that the gold price will continue its upward march as USD debt increases, demand increases, supply comes under fiercer competition at the production end.
Refineries in the world's biggest producers are under enormous pressure at the moment as the price continues to soar and demand continues to rise. Miners are having the time of their lives as the refineries continue to eat the production costs, transport costs, because the mine can just send to the competition instead. With the gold price so high, every big bank is knocking on their door and not filling that order means they go to the competition. Production is getting squeezed, demand going up, good time to hold stacks.
Of course the question is Where is the top? Not sure there is one.

Wouldn't get tooooooo excited - metal is a store of value, in my estimation. 1 toz of gold is always worth 1toz of gold - it's the cost of production, labour and the value of currency changes. Stacking gold will always be good providing there is a buyer that can afford it. Doubtful we will see real moonmission prices on silver (remember people use it in industrial products these days) but a $25USD toz price is definitely achieveable in my estimation, maybe in a year.

Wont take long, as JPM stocks are getting depleted lightning fast.

Which got me thinking frens... Do we know WHO are taking delivery of their SLV contracts? As far as i know, it could be another trick of (((them))).
I don't think JPM is willingly getting rid of their precious dragon stash. What if the investors asking for physical are others jews doing it on behalf of the JPM?

Let me explain : we know there is FAR more paper ETFs than physical silver availible in the 4 big banks manipulating silver on the comex (1:180 approx). Maybe the kikes, knowing this very well since they are the ones behind this exrteme leverage, are simply exit scamming as we speak? They are now taking delivery, and once the others institutional investors want to do the same in few months : *poof*, nothing left for them. It would BTFO all the little boomers' investors who can't take delivery because they don't have enough SLV to take delivery (ie 5000oz) and all the goyim banks holding SLV positions for their customers.

Then suddently the SLV totally crash and burn, since 1 out of 180 physical ounce have been delivered and 179 boomers are left in the gutter, while physical start a mega-moon mission as everybody is freaking out.
Then, the various 'insiders' who took delivery first (in may-july-sept) can make bank, and give JPM their fair share of the profits. Or simply keep the physical silver hidden waiting for the global collapse.

If they declare a Force Majeure I'm pretty certain they can pay out contracts in cash settlements instead of making deliveries. That would get rid of all their liabilities but imagine what would happen to the physical market the very next day, it would be absolute chaos the likes of which the world has never seen in a commodity. The price would explode and overshoot even fair value, it would go exponential.

Force Majeure would be extremely hard to argue - there has been no disruption to the PMs supply. PM industry is doing better than average. One of my global offices has made (partially due to luck/right place tight time) their entire annual budget in just 3 months last quarter. The supply is there. They have more balls in the air than they should, is the issue, every court will see that.
But, it's not as though judges and lawyers aren't for sale, and JPM has deep pockets.

their idea is to have a token that represents x amount of gold given the current supply of actual physical in possession and then settle on the net difference each period (likely month). This solves the cost issue with transfers and gives credibility to the phys-backed element of the exchange, in contrast to the silly paper metal market we have in the West. I have no idea how much PM Russian Federation has but the chinks definitely have 83 ton less than they claimed to have hahahah
Regardless, their objective is to immunise themselves to US sanctions by offering an alternative to the dollar-payment system, while also not pinning their hopes on something outside of their control like bitcoin. It's a good system in theory, the problem is supply; China was the #1 gold producer int he world so this in theory takes care of that, but it turns out they are a bunch of scammers, so I think this will set their plans back a year or two yet. When Russia starts demanding payment in gold for Europe's winter gas bill, we will know it's time.

Hasn't that been true for decades? That is exactly how the futures traders broke the Hunt brothers when the Hunt brothers cornered the silver market in the 1970s. The Hunt brothers had the banks on the ropes and were demanding delivery of a ruinous quantity of silver that the banks couldn't deliver at any price. The authorities stepped in, declared that the banks could just pay the cash value of the futures, and that broke the silver bubble and the Hunt brothers.

After that it depends heavily on where economic policy is sitting at that time - it could stabilize, maybe even drop back to $30, or it could go to $500.

I will be shocked if it doesnt hit 50$ next year given the acceleration of the collapse of political and economic systems.

Remember in 2011, we just had stutters in the economy, and much more ammo to deal with it.

Right now we have no rates to cut, pandemic/BLM insanity, and the helicopter money is being given to quite literally everyone.

At this point for me it's a question of, what else is even a reasonable option?

Stock market has pretty much gone full retard thanks to central bank policies, with unreasonable risk/reward. I have sold off 90% of my stocks in the last month. I still have $7k left that I will hold until around September because I am expecting certain events from those companies into the fall, independent of COVID concerns. I had originally planned to hold all my positions until August, but I feel like peak insanity is coming faster than I originally expected.

Bonds are untouchably fucked.

Real estate takes more capital than I have available, and even if I did it is badly inflated in any of the places I would want to own property.

Cash seems like a shit idea while banks are printing shitloads of fiat - especially if there is another round of trumpbux (which I expect). I keep enough on hand for a couple months of expenses.

I could go into commodities like oil, wheat, sugar, etc. But I don't know enough about most of those markets to make an informed choice about the risks or upsides. Oil I am reasonably informed about, and I don't like the risk/reward on that right now particularly for western markets.

Crypto is still too speculative to me for serious saving/investing.

So to me, silver/gold are basically by last resort the place for me to park my savings right now.
