20238313 No.20238313 [Reply] [Original]

Whales entered the geyser and will now get most of the rewards. I should have just kept the ampl in my wallet and collected rebases.

>> No.20238313,1 [INTERNAL]

It's so stupid if you think about it. You're halving the amount of AMPL you could get rebased, and that's where most of the gains are from.

Same. Such is the life of a brainlet. At least we still know about AMPL. We will still make it.

If you own Ampl now then you are going to be a mega whale eventually. Quit moaning.

>> No.20240651

keep in mind though that wallet is better only n the days of constant 10% plus rebase. WHen it will dip a bit more, or when ETH takes off over time the geyser will still get you more over time as AMPL inevitably will move down at some point.

Geyser rewards grow over time, plus uniswap fees add up as well and dollar value wise it's still an absolute killer.

This anon gets it. I'm making $13 dollars per day in uniswap fees alone (uniswap fees also compound my AMPL), plus compounding geyser rewards. Impermanent loss will be mostly eliminated when the price goes back to $1 and I'll have gained both the fees and the free ampies. I have about half in the geyser and half out. If whales have pumped so much into the geyser, they obviously think it's more profitable than hodling in the long run.

best play for geyser users is to stick with it, the price will stabilize

>Impermanent loss will be mostly eliminated when the price goes back to $1
WRONG
imp loss is determined by the ratio between pools, in the case of ampl the rebase applies directly to the pools so even if the price is 1$ you will get imp loss from the increased number of tokens in pool.

I alos sometimes feel like whoooah wtf this can't be real, they can't just hand out money like that, but then again... it's legit rich af investors going after something REALLY big, imagine if theyd even steadily take just 15% of markect cap of BTC & current stablecoins combined in a timeline a few years from now where crypto total cap will also greatly increase. Now that is SERIOUS money, so they just spend a lot to lock down that early start. We gonna make it bros

>> No.20243600

>>20243561
yes it will inevitably go down to $1.00 as it should, but by that time my original 300 $2.00 AMPLS will be 3000 $1 AMPLS plus a shit ton of uniswap ETH, so big gains nonetheless. Then buy a shitton more as soon as it dips below $1 and start over. This is the chosen crypto /biz/

>> No.20244237

I've been invested for 11 days with 50% of my stack inside the geyser and other 50% just raw dogging ampl.
I can post conclusive stats

* ampl stack inside geyser has grown 1.89x in 11 days
* rawdog stack has grown 2.11x in 11 days
* however in geyser eth stack has also grown 1.89x

conclusion: yes you cost yourself some pure ampl being in geyser, but you are being buffered by also growing eth. a positive move from eth could wind up multiplying your profits greater than just ampl itself. i'm glad i went with the 50/50 approach and would probably do it like this again.
