Get in here Chads, it's our favorite part of the day
What are we gonna get today? 9%, 10%?
Rebase is the Monsanto of yield farming
>>2020905311-12%Of your entire pampl stack... Again. Are you really gonna pass that up, biz?
huge rebase inc today
>>20209019should i buy in? i dont want to buy at near ath
>>20209019When is the oracle price going to update?
i fucking bought this but thought it was a scam and dumped it for dmg three days ago at a 3% lossi would be up like 50% right now isntead of down 30% just fucking kill me
>>20209459Why did you think it's a scam?
>>20209411Not sure, yesterday it updated at like 9:45 right before rebase
>>20209481i figured it was going to dump hard when people started selling droppign the price under $1 so not only would it end up dumping in value it would end up halving my supply which would then cause more panic dumping on a slope down to zerobut it turns out everyone is just fucking holding and putting it in the uniswap liquidity pool and nobody is fucking selling so it never has to halvemy scenario will happen eventually but it looks like it's a long way off but now i'm even more nervous to buy in. i fucked up
>>20209399Price does not matter. Do you want to make 10% on whatever amount you buy in two hours? Then buy. It's that easy. If you put in $1000 within two hours your bag will be worth $1100 at 10 pm eat. Feel free to extrapolate with whatever figures you like.
>>20209411Just understand that the price will gravitate back to around $1, but as long as it's above $1.05 you get positive rebase. So you could lose dollar value if it dumps, but if it stays above $1.05 for let's say two months, you would have made a killing in rebase. It is definitely a risk, but designed to reward you for holding long term
>>20209096Based>>20209543you & fud/retard poster can ne poor & reee together
>>20209623i'm not fudding at all this is going to happen unless i am misunderstanding the system which is possible. you would have to be pretty stupid to buy in today nobody is using this as currency nobody is even selling they're just putting it in the liquidity pool but when people eventually start selling this will fall faster than any shitcoin has in historyunless i'm misunderstanding the token
You gotta go with market cap on this one. It's a measly 42M. a 1.2B marketcap is a x30 from here, and not an unrealistic target in the mid-term (couple months maybe?) .. Shit, this could go even higher if a json parser is sitting at an absurd 2.3B marketcap. 12-13% for tonight is a good estimate.
>>20209551but from the chart it always drops 10%, amount in USD is the same ...
>>20209019My first one, I'm excited.Btw. did I do it right? Swapped half of ETH into AMPL then put the pair into the uniswap pool and then added that to the geyser.
>>20209019>tfw over 1600 Ampies
>>20209669How is link "just a json parser"? I really want to understand
>>20209688Yes. My first one too. Rebase virginity ends toonight.
>>20209742be prepared
>>20209742Trust me, shit feels RIGHT
>>20209678>>20209667It drops because rebase affects the Uniswap pool. AMPL supply gets bigger compared to ETH, and price "drops" accordingly. And most of the time it gets bought up pretty quick. You gotta understand this doesn't go by price but by marketcap. If you own 1% now, you'll own 1% when the marketcap reaches 1B or 10B. You could buy 1 AMPL at 5$ right now and with positive rebases and Mcap increase you could have 25 AMPL worth 1$. This coin isn't your typical biz PnD. Buy now, put in Geyser for 3 months, be rich.
Ample is money. There is no marketcap ceiling.
>>20209589I know, I hold 4.2k AMPL. Trying to get to 0.001% of supply before it takes off.
>>20209805what does the geyser do??? pls im too dumb to understand by mysewlf
>>20209821*0.01% of supply
>>20209688You did it right, but you took the "safe" route. You will still get rebase value but it will be paid mostly in eth. To get the rebases everyone has a hardon for, you simple but ampl and wait until 10 pm for the extra tokens to magically appear in your wallet. I have a third in geyser and the rest just collecting in my wallet.
>>20209755>>20209779So anon how was your first rebase?
>>20209889>You will still get rebase value but it will be paid mostly in eth.Why not treat the eth as AMPL that just needs to be converted?t. brainlet
>>20209864Go read the whitepaper and the redbook. But in short, if you add to uniswap liquidity you get UNIV2 tokens for the AMPL-ETH pair, and if you stake those, you get daily AMPL. The longer you keep it in, the more you get (up to x3 for 3 months). And rebase also affect Geyser and liquidity pool so there's people making stupid amounts of money right now.
>>20209971can i just buy it in an exchange and get the rebase?
>>20210017Yes. simplest hold is just buy AMPL and sit back. Enjoy compounded gains.
>>20210017The rebase is part of the smart contract itself, it affects the entire token supply
>>20210076then why does the geyser exist
>>20210126liquidity rewards.
I have 9k in the geyser & just put a $500 dividend payment in ampl so I can watch I grow from a small acorn into jeff bezos girlfriend
>>20209551so, let me get this straight? If I got 10k to put in this today, after the rebase I'll make 1k?And I can do this every day?I've read that the rebases will continue to be around the same amount for the foreseeable future. So, in 10 days I'll have 20k?What would be the greater risk here?
>>20210508Yes and yes. Well, every day that the token price is this high. As long as the price is above 1.06, your wallet gets deposits. The rebases are so fat right now because people are buying and staking for geyser rewards, growing the marketcap. As long as the marketcap is growing, so it's your stack.
>>20210508Yes you are correct, you will get around 10% tonight. The only risk is the price dumps which makes the rebase smaller and smaller until it gets under a dollar and we get negative rebase(tokens burned out of your wallet)
>>20210508Also the risk is that it works both ways. Price goes too far under a dollar, and your stack shrinks. It wants to get to $1. But it won't find equilibrium until the market has decided it's value. As long as it's undervalued everybody makes disgusting gains. When it's overvalued, your stack will show it. I'm gonna enjoy the ride until 500 million and reassess from there. And probably shift a bigger part of my bags to the geyser to help offset risk.
>>20209864Part of the supply is held by the team for community development, they have decided to give some of it out in the geyser as an incentive to build liquidity on Uniswap.
>>20210664yeah... so it would be somewhat possible to "predict" when the rebases would be negative, and get out. Correct?I

Noob questionWhy does my AMPL stack decrease throughout the day? I started with the same amount yesterday now I'm back to where I was just now, post rebase.
So fucking good over 10%
Another day, another easy 300 bucks from just holding some chuck e cheese internet meme tokens.
Ahh, that was pleasant
This has to be illegal. It's too good.
Do you guys not sell it after the rebase?
>>20212416No, and I'm up $9000 in 4 days
>>20212416tomorrow I'm gonna grow my stack to whatever equals 5k USD and sell the rebase profits every day until this free money runs out. When will that be anons?

>>20212288This must be what it's like to be a Rothschild
>>20212416i BUY after rebase
>>20212544Why then?
>>20212908>>20212416smooth brains sell their rebase
I say we break $2.75 before next rebase.
>>20212908>>20212908look anon, people on biz will tell you strats to profit but remember everyone here is trying to get each others money, it's impossible to profit @ rebase because the price sets instantly, but as AMP has gained traction, in the last 4 rebases the price drops a bit more because everybody thinks yeah imma sell my rebase gains, thats when you buy below avg price and keep acummulating, remember, cryrpto & stocks is always a waiting game, and knowing when to get out, right now is not the time to get out, amp is appearing every single day in biz and this shit won't stop, price didn't consolidate and we may reach new ATH soon, this will increase rebases and pump the fuck out of it, this coin, useful or not has one of the best pump fundamentals that i've seen, brainlets think they get more cash from the rebase, others profit from understanding the tokenomics
>>20213207I am a brainlet then.Let's say I start with whatever AMPL equals $5k. Why can't I wake up the morning after the rebase (about 9 hours later). Check how much sell the AMPL that exceeds 5k and repeat?I understand it's more profitable to have compound gains. But again, this is my brainlet way to have a sure ETH profit each day. Am I in the wrong?
>>20213207What’s your strat. Hold for timeBeing?
>>20213327>>20213327acummulate, I PERSONALLY think the mcap can grow to 200m - 500m, that's a x10 atleast and then take profit based on initial investment, this will 100% take a chunk of stable coins like maker, even if it's not a stablecoin in the early phase, but as always, I could be wrong, so always think by yourself, it's always a risk, but sometimes it's a bit more clear when some coins are gaining momentum>>20213304I mean that's something you could do with any coin, buy, wait and check if profit then sell, I'm betting on the momentum as I said ^
>>20209543>my scenario will happen eventually but it looks like it's a long way off but now i'm even more nervous to buy in. i fucked upTHIS.It will come to $1. But after it's risen to a $500m+ market cap. This is a key DeFi jigsaw piece.
>>20209667>i'm not fudding at all this is going to happen unless i am misunderstanding the system which is possible. you would have to be pretty stupid to buy in today nobody is using this as currency nobody is even selling they're just putting it in the liquidity pool but when people eventually start selling this will fall faster than any shitcoin has in history. unless i'm misunderstanding the tokenYou are not misunderstanding the token. It will come to $1. Youre misunderstanding that this is finding it's marketcap, so will continue to rise. You're misunderstanding market momentum and timing. There is $6.4million in liquidity now supporting the price, as those who "get it" (that it's supply based not price based trading, and the bigger vision that this can be a key to collateral in DeFi, think it can be a 10x+ increased market cap - with daily 30-10% increases in supply this will take 3-6 months)>you would have to be pretty stupid to buy in todayWhile you wrote this, a $100m whale was disagreeing with you and putting $1m in, and a further $1m into ETH to go into the uniswap liquidity pool and earn 30-50% apr + fees. >>20214341Oh I think today wont be the last chad-rebase there will be more.I dont see big selloffs those days, paired with a steady rising demand (and fomo?!)Only thing Im really thinking in negativ terms is how the coin would act if BTC suddenly shits the bed, like lets say down to 7k
>>20210664ok where the fuck is the gyser wtf are you guys talking about
okay can someone explain.1st option is to add liquity to uniswap. get the token and put it in the gyser.2nd option is just holding the token in the wallet????
>>20214901Yes. 1st option in geyser you earn 30-50% apr liquidity incentives + trading fees + half of the rebase (you sell the other half daily into ETH profit to balance your pool position). Safer option. Still awesome profit, but taking some daily profit into ETH ($6.9mil of liquidity likes this option :P)2nd option - jus hodl ampl and receive the full rebase - riskier, more profitable in rising AMPL times, less profitable if AMPL $ price falls. There have been 6 approx 10% rebase days in a row now. There will be a 7th tomorrow as price is holding high above $2.10
>>20214901Yeah you hold and you and everyone gets more tokens if the price is up.
>>20215006>>20215011 thanks doodes
just fomo bought 125 eth of ampl. it's the next bitcoin
Guys enlighten me if I’m wrong, but based on my brainlet understanding isn’t anything massively above $1 overpriced as the protocol is designed to increase supply to maintain as close to a dollar value as possibles
>>20215237>Guys enlighten me if I’m wrong, but based on my brainlet understanding isn’t anything massively above $1 overpriced as the protocol is designed to increase supply to maintain as close to a dollar value as possiblesprice doesnt matter. only marketcap matters. it's only 50m marketcap. a next bitcoin crypto should be at least valued at 1bn. thats 20x from here.
>>20215237i was thinking the same. but i wonder if bull/bear markets have an affect on that too. so, now since its bullish - maybe it can sustain itself for longer.also can someone clarify, if the price goes to a $1 and everything gets shuffled around. are you loosing money?
once marketcap gets to it's fair value it will level out at $1.
this is so fucking interesting tho
>>20215237you have to predict a mcap to make your entry and exit, price alone will fuk ur brainlet
>>20215309so lets say - you have $100usd in it at $2.40 and then it goes to $1. Do you still have $100?
uniswap is launching a token soon. lots of eth is going to flood into liquidity pools to farm it. highest volume pool is ample/eth. ample will fucking moon. also that gyser is going to be permanent. expect coinbase listing in the future. ceo of coinbase invested.
>>20215337>so lets say - you have $100usd in it at $2.40 and then it goes to $1. Do you still have $100?depends on how long it takes to go from $2.40 to $1. if it takes a long time, you will make a ton of money from positive rebases. if it is a fast drop you will lose money.
>>20215359would brian listing a coin that he invested in be illegal? Asking for a friend
>>20210664>>20210772if the price goes near 1 us dollarino, you don't sell. You BUY. First, because it has never gotten near 1usd since it went up, so buying AMPL at 1usd right now seems like the chance of a lifetime, and second, because everyone gains way more from inflating the price above 1 us dollar and keeping the rebases coming than from selling it at that value.
also, if you retards are thinking of getting out, consider for a minute the fact that if you go on leddit, no one has even heard of this shit. Think about the pumps to come when all those retarded faggot beta males start opening their jaws to this shit
I need some help bros,im abroad so I just have my mobile available. I managed to get some ample on my metamask app,but when I try to connect metamask with the geyser it always says "connect your wallet to the ethereum mainnet". Can someone help me out?
>>20215512how can this every be used outside of this mechanism? can it?
>>20209019how in the fuck is the price so highi've literally been watching this since 1 dollar. I fucked up so bad biz, please tell me it will be ok
>>20215583does metamask say "ethereum mainnet" on the upper right?
>>20215620Yes it does
>>20215637well thats all i got. it says that so it must be connected. maybe its your browser. i had to install firefox for it to work right
>>20215637i just noticed your using an app
>>20215677Thanks mate,will try that
So you’re telling me... that if I buy this even 30 mins before the rebase I can still get the yield?
>>20215718yeah, but the price dumps as soon as the rebase happens
>>20215359Do you have any links for info on the uniswap token anon? With how fast uniswap is growing this might be my next big buy
>>20215609I doubted too, bought at the top and no regrets now, rebase and price keeping above 2$ made it profit even if price went down lol, <60mcap IS early
i just went 60% in. Just looking at the MC, gonna ignore the price. lets see what happens.
Teach a retard how to buy this thing please
>>20215359Geyser is excellent if you have a fat stack of eth laying around. I dont, so will hodl as much ample as I can for as long as i can.
so the price of AMPL right now is $2.40and its designed to get it back to $1so they will print and give you AMPL until the price goes back to $1Who decides that AMPL is worth $1?isnt this almost the same as MKR
I want to buy more but the price is tooooooooo hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiighh ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
>>20216848>Who decides that AMPL is worth $1?the ampl protocol. if the supply exceeds the demand then the price will go back to 1$
>>20216885so can i also make a coin and just decide its worth $1?
>>20216891it's not about "deciding" it. if you make a clone of ampl then yeah, it will be worth 1$
>>20216885you do not understand this at all. The price doesn't reset they say it on the website
>>20217158yes, it will go back to 1$ eventually
>>20217158no u dont get itits designed to rubber band back to $1 when supply outweighs demand
ample is a new bitcoin. it has compounding daily interest. whoever gets in early get rich. it's complicated if you dont have 100+ iq. so ill give you a pro tip. dont look at price. only look at marketcap. bitcoins marketcap is 200billion. ampleforth marketcap is 50million. now ask yourself if this is high or low
do you have to do anything to receive the rebase or just holding it in ur wallet will do?
>>20217408Rebase effects all AMPLs whether they are in wallets, liquidity pools, or the geyser
>>20209019based
>>20217173>its designed to rubber band back to $1 when supply outweighs demand
There are only 3,000 ampl holders. That’s it right now. Could easily get into the 50,000 holder range
I'm totally new to this explain it to me please.I just buy some ETH on binance then, get AMPLs on uniswap and put it in the geyser? Is it the most efficient way to do it? I don't even have a wallet and I want to get into crypto
I still don’t get itHow can they just decide its worth $1with mkr rsr and snx you have to do provide debt or something to back the priceSo with ampl there is what?
>>20218726Yes. Remember you need 50% ETH and 50% AMPL to buy the Uniswap Pool tokens that will then be deposited in to the Geyser.>>20218759https://www.ampleforth.org/redbook/
>>20218787I’ve read it and it still says nothing about what gives this valueIt’s a coin randomly chose to be $1 and print more or less of it to keep it thereI’m big into defi as well
>>20218759>How can they just decide its worth $1the market decides it, based on the law of supply and demand. the protocal pumps/dumps supply if it goes away from 1$, until it gets backit's unironically ez
>>20218855You can’t be serious. Nothing is randomly giving it value.

>>20224390It will not magically 'snap' to one dollar. Go read the whitepaper. In short it adjusts supply wether the price is over 1.06$ or below 0.96$. You have to think in terms of marketcap and not price. If you own 1% of the marketcap at 50M, you would still own 1% at 500M. Of course, buying at 2.20$ today it's better than buying at 3$, but buying at 3$ today it's still better than buying at 3$ tomorrow because of the rebase.
>>20224163I went all in after seeing the MC chart. shit is going parabolic

>>20217308>https://www.ampleforth.org/redbook/So, over the long run, its designed to keep a somewhat stable price at 1 - but the higher the MC the more stable it will be??? and then it can be used in DeFi? How can it be used in Defi if the price is fluctuating like it is rn??
>>20216864i dont think price matters. think of it like this: in normal conditions your USD fluctuates. In AMP - your AMP fluctuates and USD is stable.

>>20227001ya youre right. My bad
Lets play out a scenario. You buy tons of ampl. Suddenly, price dumps massively. The coming rebase will reduce your funds with 10%. You decide to sell to avoid taking a further loss you know is coming. This obviously pushes price further down, and stronger hands than your own also gets shaken out. pushing price down, and rebasing lowering everyones balances.Isn't AMPL just a massive pump and dump?
>>20216604So your saying if you are too poor to have a matching amount of ether to ample in the gerser you can just go all in on ample hold it in any wallet and it will grow but at a higer risk? Sorry for being a brainlet im just still trying to figure it out

>>20227420The rebase only goes negative below $.95, and it's proportional, so if there was a massive dump, the rebase would slowly decrease everyday. It is not designed for the rebase to sharply increase or decrease. So you will still earn coins as it goes down, you just need to decide if it's worth it.For me, by the time it gets that low I would have 100x my dollar value, even selling at a dollar
>>20227496The ampl website has tard proof walk thru vids. 3 total. Skip the first two as you somehow managed to do that.
>>20227496deposit 50/50 eth ampl into the uniswap poolget ur pool tokensConnect your wallet to the geyser and deposit the pool tokens
Should i fomo in now or wait for a dip.
>>20227798If you buy now, you are going to make 12-15% on your money tonight. You can sell right after if you want
>>20227798Wont dip. People sell less and less as we approach each rebase. Might aswell buy now because you will get a better total percent of supply than tomorrow.
>>20227912>You can sell right after if you wantKek the worst time to sell
>>20227798I have 2ETH worth of AMPL, need to buy more frens, when should I buy?
>>20227953I agree, but he seemed unsure. Now he knows his options
>>20228083Tonight before the resbase.
>>20227953can we hold amp on metamask wallet and then receive the rebase rewards there?
Question for the anons who have been staking in Geyser for over a week. How badly have you been affected by impermanent loss?
Guys please help a little brain like me. If I dont have much money would it be more profitable to just hold 250 USD worth of ample in my wallet or split that between ETH and put it in the geyser?
>>20227798You should understand what you buy before fomoing. And if you understood, the question would not be asked. Always better to buy early with this structure. If I got 100 ampl at $2.60 a week ago, and 150 ampl at $2.60 right now, the 100 ampl would be worth twice as much now.
So just to be clear, if we hold ample in a wallet we'll have more ample after the rebase because of the expanding supply?
Hi, stupid question, will my AMPL still change if I have it in my coinbase wallet? When does the rebase occur?
>>20228238Yes
>>20228254The rebase is 10:00 pm est. everydayNot sure about coinbase
>>20228163i think yes but maybe >>20228461knows?
>>20228237Why?
>>20228163I'm not sure on that one, I have mine in kucoin, and I get rebase.
>>20228642So do you just hold the coins then and not put them in the geyser? Higer risk but higher reward right?
idiot here, do i get the rebase if i hold my ampl stack in metamask
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS TO A RETARD LIKE ME
>>20228254every token receives the rebase, regardless of which wallet it is stored on. Your wallet is just an encryption key to access AMPL that exists on the blockchain.
>>20227912>>20227920>>20228083>>20228237Last time it was around this price, it tanked like 40 percent.
>>20228170This coin is basically immune to impermanent loss due to it's mechanics. You would have impermanent loss if ETH goes on a tear, but we know that never happens
>>20228808>price ngmi

>>20228642>>20228163Yesthe only way you don't get rebase is if your coins are on a shitty centralized exchange that steals the rebaseeverything else gets the rebase
>>20228808And everyone who has held still has much more money, lol. Look at market cap
>>20228828Can you speculate on why I've lost 0.00165% of my AMPL stack since Sunday? I can't figure it out.I've got 2/3rds in Geyser and 1/3rd holding.
>>20228847>Brandon:>"GEYSER IS A LONG TERM PIECE OF THE ECOSYSTEM"
>>20228899when people buy AMPL on Uniswap, you become a net seller of AMPL and your ETH increases. When people sell AMPL on Uniswap, you become a net buyer of AMPL and your ETH decreases.
>>20228899You need to understand how liquidity pools work. If you put in let's say 20 ETH worth into Uniswap (10 in AMPL at 2$, 10 ETH) and AMPL is now 2.7, you will have less in your liquidity pool because the price has risen. You will have more ETH, though. The Geyser is just a bonus for supplying liquidity into uniswap.
>>20228941hopefully the multiplier increases beyond 3x because I got in on day 1.
>>20228983>>20228997Should have clarified: with regards to the ETH in the pool, I'm viewing it as holding AMPL that just needs to be convertedIn this case when I "convert" the value of ETH in to AMPL my % stake has decreased
>>20228671Yeah I'm not using geyser, just rebase in my wallet.
>>20229079What's geyser?
>>20229100Impermanent loss. I believe it will be mostly reversed when the price eventually returns to $1, assuming ETH stays relatively stable.
>>20228808Sigh....so fuckin wat?Anyone in geyser still made profit. You just do not get it do you?
>>20229154Thanks, just wanted to confirm my suspicious from >>20227001 that I'm getting hit by impermanent loss. AMPL is a long term hold for me so I'm not that concerned yet,
>>20229100Yes, in this stage having AMPL/ETH in the pool will lead to fluctuation and impermanent loss because people are trading it and you're supplying your share to that trade. It won't matter in the long run though.
