Not the same. They've been working very closely with Apple for some time, to add GPU support for taking advantage of 3D rendering features. Octane Render currently only works natively on MacBooks from 2013 and earlier, unless the GPU(s) are in an external dock (Also compatible with Mac Pro)... It will be a big win for Apple to offer GPU rendering across their full-suite of devices - tablets, iPhones and macs. And lots of artists use macs, so ofc they are working close together.
