College/university is a scam meant to be the first introduction to major debt for an adult human being. Thus they become a cog to the financial system ; a slave to further the machine of perpetual growth so some boomer can say we got an uptick of GDP (numbers go green haha). this is true. i took some cheap IT courses on there and ended up passing/earning an industry cert already with a month, now starting to work on my second one. college is horribly outdated at this point. let them continue to be research institutions and take on people who want to be career researchers/academics.
