The HOT ERC token is redeemable at a ratio of 1:1 for p2p cloud hosting computational power (holofuel) on the holchain network. All apps hosted on the holochain network can host their applications (social networks, currencies) in truly decentralised fashion at a cost at circa 15x cheaper than AWS...with the other advantages being, data privacy for the user, guaranteed up times of hosting (due to it being p2p) + some other stuff but ^ should be enough in itself.

Its basically what ethereum tried to do, but will actually scale with smarter tokenomics and kinky boomers at the helm instead of autists

The holofuel currency is mutual credit so the price will stabilise eventually based on supply/demand...but the current price is soooo cheap compared to the value of what the asset backed holofuel currency will he worth when their is real demand on the holochain network.
