I suppose XSNs primary value, at the moment, is the narrative it supports of truly decentralized, independent financal control.
Im struggling with the idea that it will never be 'allowed' to happen, though. By the same logic Bitcoin itself should have never been allowed.
And while its true that people en-mass fled the torrents and onto the netflixes, it only happened once the whole of the entertainment industry was upended and streaming was made cheap (remember when a single fucking CD was $15?) It was a way of ensuring you werent one of the unlucky few who were 'made an example' of.
In that regard, i can see a DEX functioning as a legit disruptor until something less parasitic than our current financial solutions comes along... which could take 3-5 years easily, and would provide plenty of exit opportunities in regards to holding XSN.
